Detailed map of the Black Sea coast of Russia and its resorts

Subtropical exoticism, hospitable people, an abundance of four- and five-star hotels- only the first stroke in the description of the Black Sea coast of Russia. Absence of necessity registration of additional documentation at the entrance makes this territory in the eyes of Russians much more attractive than foreign vacation spots.

The Black Sea coast on the world map

The Black Sea coast of Russia is located in the southwest of the country. From the north, the border of the region runs along Perekop Isthmus, which connects Crimea with Ukraine. The coastline stretches for 1200 km along the peninsula and further south to the border with Abkhazia in Adler.

During the Soviet Union and over the past decade, the region's infrastructure has made a decisive leap in pursuit of the prominent resorts of the globe.

Most of the Crimean peninsula moderate temperatures prevail and only on the extreme southern coast is the northern coil of the subtropics.

Near the 44th parallel, the continental region of the Black Sea divided by the Caucasus Mountains into temperate and subtropical climates.

The temperate zone extends from the Taman Peninsula to Anapa. The continental climate here is under the influence of the sea, therefore this region is generously warmed by the sun in summer and spared from winter frosts.

The northern arm of the Caucasus Range borders the subtropical zone. Dry subtropical climate dominates the territory from Anapa to Dzhubga (Tuapse district). In summer, the area often languishes from drought, and in winter it is irrigated by precipitation.

With the beginning of autumn, the heat begins to subside almost throughout Russia. Read about the September weather in Tuapse in this article.

High temperatures dominate from May to October, and then give way to mild winters. From Tuapse to Adler is located the northernmost zone in the world humid subtropics with a uniform distribution of precipitation over the seasons.

In the subtropical zone of the Black Sea 25-degree summer heat gives way to mild winter with temperatures slightly above zero.

Average temperatures range from 23 degrees in summer to zero in winter.

Map of the Black Sea coast of Russia with resorts. Detailed new map 2017

Any person in our country knows that the most popular sea in summer holidays is the Black Sea. On its coast there are hundreds of cities and thousands of resorts. Three million tourists come here every year, come and go. And if you count how many savages rest on the seashore, then the figure may well reach up to five million! In order not to get lost on vacation and choose the best place, you need a new map of the Black Sea coast of Russia with resorts. A detailed interactive map will help you find all the resorts that are on the Black Sea coast. You will be able to see cities, towns and villages where you can stop for rest and spend the most better days summer holiday.

The Black Sea is big. Its waters wash the shores of Russia, the Republic of Crimea, Ukraine, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania. We can say that it is on this sea that the most popular and visited resorts in the world are located. Each coast has its own infrastructure, its own beaches and its own weather. Today we will talk about our coast, on which the resorts are located.

The Black Sea is located so that it practically does not freeze. It is very rare to see ice on it. It mostly happens near the coast when it gets very cold in January. Most often, ice comes from the Russian side, but there is no ice from the Turkish side, since warm winds blow from the Asian and African side even in winter. During the summer months, it is hot on any seashore. Air temperatures reach +35 and above. And the average temperature for the year is +22 degrees. But, unfortunately, in the winter months, you can’t swim on any coast of the Black Sea, including from the Russian coast.

Most main resort Russia on the Black Sea - Sochi. The city has always been popular with tourists, and after the Winter Olympics it has become an even more visited resort. At what they began to come here in the winter to ski and walk around the beautiful city.
Perhaps the hottest city on the Black Sea coast is Tuapse. In the summer months here the air warms up to +37 in the shade. And in August, when the peak of the heat comes, and up to +42 degrees. sometimes it seems that the sun is shining so low over the city that it is about to fall on you. At hours like this, and these are lunch hours. Better not to be outside. After all, the sun not only warms and burns, it also blinds. Especially on the beach, when the sun's rays reflect off the white sand.

Despite the fact that there are thousands of resorts on the Black Sea coast, there are only two airports. The first is located in Adler and is considered the Sochi airport. And the second is Gelendzhik. So tourists mostly prefer to get to their resort by train to avoid unnecessary movements. After all, it is very inconvenient to fly to one place, and then get to the right one by bus or expensive taxi.

Also, do not forget about Anapa. This is the same resort town on the Black Sea coast. There is an airport nearby which is very convenient. True, it is located somewhat away from Anapa, but still closer than if you got here by train.
After Crimea returned to Russia again, we have more resorts located on the Black Sea. Firstly, this is Yalta, which has always been popular with tourists, even back in the USSR. Further - this is Sevastopol and Evpatoria. Every year the Crimean resorts are visited by more and more tourists from Russia.

Interactive map with resorts.
To get a better idea of what and where is located. Next, we offer you a new interactive map. It has already marked resorts and the most important cities on the Black Sea coast. You can click on any sign and see detailed information about the place and photos of the city. The map can be enlarged and you can see everything in detail. What do you need. And if you want, you can make changes to it and save it on your computer.

Detailed map of the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory with settlements- in this article. Last summer, the whole family decided to make a short trip to the Krasnodar Territory. Before that, we were already in the south of our country and instead of going to some separate resort, we decided to make a trip along the entire coast. After all, the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory on the map of the coast from Anapa to Adler stretch for 356 kilometers and there are dozens. Moving from one locality to another on average takes from several minutes to an hour. Thus, you can visit many resorts, staying in each from 1 to 3 days.

Abrau-Dyurso

The next point was the resort village. We reached it in less than an hour and arrived early in the morning. We planned to spend only one day here. We stopped at the guest house "Chocolate" in the village of Durso right on the seashore. Abrau-Durso itself is located on the shore of Lake Abrau, a few kilometers from the coastline, and the village of Durso is right on the shore. There are several beaches, including those with small estuaries, which warm up quickly and are ideal for bathing children. In the morning we swam on the central beach of Durso. The beach is pebbly, wide with developed infrastructure. In the afternoon, leaving the car at the guest house, we called a taxi and went to the very center of wine tourism in our country - the Abrau-Dyurso sparkling wine factory.

This is a truly unique place, which was founded by Count Golitsyn at the end of the 19th century. Here they show huge areas with vineyards and talk about the art of growing grapes for the production of sparkling wines. We looked at the production process, relatively recently it was completely modernized under the clear guidance of Moet Chandon specialists. Perhaps that is why the usual Abrau Durso champagne is no different from the legendary French. We visited huge cellars with wine storages and tasting. In the company store you can buy products at factory prices, and some rare vintage types of champagne can only be bought here.

In the evening we walked along the embankment of Lake Abrau - one of the best embankments in the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory on the map of the coast. The embankment is lined with colored paving stones, with many flower beds and lawns and rich infrastructure. We rented a boat on the embankment and rode for an hour along the coast. After dinner in one of the cafes, we returned to the village of Durso to our guest house by taxi to go to the next city early in the morning. A detailed map of the Krasnodar Territory - the Black Sea coast helped us to lay the route.

Detailed map of the Resorts of the Krasnodar Territory: Gelendzhik and Divnomorskoe

The next morning we went to the city located in Big Gelendzhik. The distance between them on a detailed map of the Resorts of the Krasnodar Territory is only 10 kilometers. Therefore, we decided to stay in Divnomorskoye, since the water in the sea is the cleanest here, and in the afternoon after lunch you can go to for entertainment and sightseeing.

A detailed map of the Resorts of the Krasnodar Territory helped us get to Divnomorskoye. We arrived there early in the morning and stayed at the Alpina guest house, the cost of the room was 2300 rubles. for four people in June, although I had to bargain a bit. The beach is very nice and well-groomed, there is a lot of entertainment for both children and adults. Children happily rode inflatable slides, miniature electric cars that can be rented on the chic embankment. I took a ride on a jet ski, after which, after having lunch in one of the cozy cafes, we went to Gelendzhik to the safari park.

The safari park is located right at the foot of the mountain slope, the route along the sea passes near it. At the entrance, we immediately purchased tickets not only to the safari park, but also to the cable car to climb to the very top, to the observation deck and visit the terrarium with reptiles. Not only children liked the safari park, but we adults also liked it. It is very well maintained, and the number of rare animals and especially predators is simply amazing.

There are also areas fenced off with durable plexiglass, behind which shooting galleries go a few meters away. There are also cougars, leopards, jaguars, grizzly and Himalayan bears, ostriches and wild boars, monkeys. At the entrance you can buy dried fruits to feed the animals. The most notorious "beggars" were bears. They stand on their hind legs and tirelessly "beg" for a treat. Many people buy them ice cream, for which the animals were very grateful.

Views from observation deck magnificent, and the Gelendzhik Bay, like the city itself, looks like in the palm of your hand.

After visiting the safari park, we decided to take a ride on a yacht. We had a choice: to ride on a private sailboat or on a large yacht with a group. We decided to take a ride on a large yacht, where during a boat trip there entertainment and tickets are cheaper. A two-hour walk from the bay to the open sea is very fun, on the way back you can watch the red sunset and take wonderful photos for memory. We decided to spend the evening on the embankment of Gelendzhik. This is the busiest place on the entire coast. There are dozens, if not hundreds of different cafes, restaurants, clubs and discos. You can walk until late in the evening, as the promenade is the longest and most beautiful. Its length is about 10 kilometers, with many flower beds, lawns, decorative figurines. We had dinner with the whole family in an excellent restaurant on the territory of the Primorye Hotel, after which we visited the amusement park on the embankment next to the stadium. After walking a little more to the steep rock "Krucha", which is as high as a 16-storey building, we decided to return to Divnomorskoye to our guest house, since the next day we had to go to the largest water park in Russia.

The next day, while everyone was sleeping, I went to the beach and swam in the clearest sea. After that, around ten o'clock in the morning we went to Gelendzhik to the water park "Golden Bay". The water park is really cool. On the territory of 17 hectares there are 17 swimming pools, 69 slopes, 49 slides, about 10 water attractions, many bars, cafes, pizzerias. The ticket price is 1400 rubles for adults, 650 rubles for children. Free admission only for children whose height does not exceed 106 cm.

While we were in Divnomorsky and Gelendzhik, we visited the Old Park in, and took a ride in an off-road vehicle to the valley of dolmens. If there were no children with us, then of course it would be possible to visit one of the most famous and largest clubs in Russia "Formula", but we could not do this. After staying in this place for 4 days, we went further. We studied the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory on the map of the coast, and chose the village of Loo.

Loo

We got from Gelendzhik in about an hour and a half and stayed at the Dolce Gusto mini hotel. The hotel is located near the sea. We rested on the central beach of the village, which is about 150 meters wide. The infrastructure is well developed here, with many water attractions and entertainment for children. They rode electric cars along the embankment, jumped on trampolines and played on inflatable towns. My wife and I took turns riding a banana, which the organizers dragged on a jet ski at high speed along the beach. The water in the sea at this resort is very clean and swimming in it is a pleasure. Before lunch, we rested and relaxed on the beach, and after that, having a snack, we went to see something in the village or the surrounding area. We visited the ruins of an ancient Byzantine temple, which is located on the territory of the village, 33 waterfalls, rode horses in the valley of the Ashe River. The whole family ate in cafes and canteens, of which there are a lot, the average bill for four is no more than 600 rubles. After resting in this place for 3 days, we went further in the direction of the southeast of the Black Sea coast. A detailed map of the Krasnodar Territory, the Black Sea coast helped to lay the route.

Dagomys, Sochi, Adler

These resorts of the Krasnodar Territory on the map of the coast have no boundaries. The private sector has grown so much that in fact it all makes up one settlement of Greater Sochi. To save on accommodation, we rented a two-room apartment in advance for 2000 rubles per day at. The apartment had a kitchen, so we decided to cook on our own.

We had a car at hand, so we could go to any beach we liked, and in the afternoon we could go to any attraction. For a week of staying in this part of Greater Sochi, we rested on the wide pebble beaches of Dagomys and the Riviera beach in Central Sochi. At first, they only went to the Riviera, but due to huge traffic jams in Sochi, they preferred the central beach of Dagomys. On all the beaches of Greater Sochi the situation is the same. There are many attractions, the infrastructure is well developed and in most cases the width of the beaches is 20-30 meters.

For a week we visited the amusement park in Adler, the oceanarium in Adler, the Olympic village. We got to these places by public transport, by train. They go often and this is the only way to avoid Sochi traffic jams during the daytime. I went rafting alone by taking a tour. Overcame several rifts along the mountain river Mzymta. We visited Sochi Sky Park with many attractions, here is the highest point for jumbo jumping. We walked across the longest suspension bridge in the world and it's an unforgettable experience. We went to the mountains in the nearby. From here, not only wonderful views of the sea and mountain peaks open up, but there are also old tea houses where you can taste various varieties of tea from the herbs of the Caucasian foothills, many varieties of honey, which is collected from local apiaries.

Separately, it is worth highlighting an excursion to Abkhazia. We bought an excursion for one day - we drove through all the main cities of this republic. The route includes a visit to Gagra, Pitsunda, Athos Monastery, a mountain cave near the monastery, mountain lake Ritsa, Stalin's dachas and driving through many mountain gorges, including driving along the edge of a cliff at a height of several hundred meters called "Farewell Motherland". To plot the route further, I needed a map of the Krasnodar Territory with cities - the Black Sea coast.

Lermontovo

The next resort of the Krasnodar Territory on the map of the coast was Lermontovo. We had only a few days left and, having left Dagomys early in the morning, in order not to get into traffic jams on the highway, we drove back towards the mainland. An hour and a half later we were in a resort village, not far from the M-4 Don highway. Lermontovo is one of the very first and very comfortable settlements on the Black Sea coast, which vacationers get to by breaking their way to the sea along the M-4 Don highway. On the contrary, we decided to stay here and spend our last day at sea. We stayed in a very nice guest house called "Edem". A room for four people, category "standard" in June cost 2000 rubles. There are quite comfortable living conditions here, but for us it was most important to get a cozy and quiet place where you can spend the night, since the most important activity on the last day of our stay at the sea was relaxing on the beach. The embankment and the beach in Lermontovo are fully consistent with the basics of an aesthetic and relaxing beach holiday. The infrastructure is very well developed here and there is a lot of entertainment. First of all, this is the Chernomor water park, horseback riding tours, quad biking, a visit to the African village Lim-po-po, a trip to the Tenginsky waterfalls. We just spent time on an excellent, sandy beach and were completely satisfied with the time we spent on the Black Sea coast.

The geographical position of the Black Sea, perhaps, is known to every inhabitant of our country. Why? The thing is that almost all of us at least once in our lives have been to its coast, or we are planning to go there on our next vacation.

The map of the Black Sea of Russia shows that our country shares it with Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania.

The location, history, climate and characteristic features of this section of the oceans will be discussed in this article.

Section 1. General Information

If you look at the Black Sea on a world map, you can be sure that it belongs to the Atlantic Ocean basin and belongs to the inland type of seas. Its area is approximately 422.0 thousand square meters. km (according to other sources - 436.4 thousand sq. km).

Visually, the sea resembles the shape of an oval with the largest axis of 1150 km. The maximum length from north to south is 580 km. The average depth is 1240 m, and the greatest is 2210 m.

The ports of the Black Sea have a number of advantages, since the waters of this section of the oceans are connected to the Marmara through the Bosphorus, then, through the Dardanelles (Hellespont) - with the Mediterranean and Aegean, and the Kerch Strait - with the Sea of Azov.

The border line between Europe and V northern part sea deeply juts out the Crimean peninsula.

Its waters wash the territories of several states at once: Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Romania, Turkey and Bulgaria. In the northeast of the coast is the partially recognized state of Abkhazia.

The sea basin has a rare property. Its lower layers are filled with hydrogen sulfide, which is why life is completely absent at a depth of more than 150 m (with the exception of certain types of bacteria).

The geographical position of the Black Sea is very favorable. Why? The thing is that it has the most important economic, transport, strategic and military significance, and also belongs to the largest recreational zones of Eurasia. The main military bases of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are concentrated in the ports of Sevastopol and Novorossiysk.

Section 2. History of the Black Sea

Photos of the Black Sea, as a rule, attract attention, captivating with beauty and a certain infinity. But what do we really know about him?

First of all, it is impossible not to mention that this is a relatively young sea with an unformed ecosystem that continues to develop: the water level changes, new representatives of flora and fauna appear, and some disappear.

In the past, and this is about 8 thousand years ago, this sea was a lake at all. Its biosystem is highly susceptible to external influences - the influence of climate or man. Despite the fact that it is much smaller than the ocean and the life in it is less diverse, the Black Sea coast and its ecology are of interest to scientists.

Section 3. What is the climate of the elements?

The climate of the Black Sea region is due to the mid-continental location and is mainly of the continental type. This region is characterized by warm, wet winters and dry summers. and the Caucasian coast are protected from the winds by mountains, thanks to which there is a Mediterranean subtropical climate.

The geographical position of the Black Sea is such that weather conditions are significantly influenced by Atlantic cyclones, which bring storms and cooling. Winds from the southwest direction bring usually humid Mediterranean air masses.

In January, the average temperature in the north is up to +2°C, but there is a cooling down to -5°C, snow falls periodically. Much warmer in the south and the Caucasus. It rarely falls below +5°C.

The July air temperature in the north of the sea averages +25 - +27 °C. Thanks to the sea, the air temperature usually does not rise above 37°C.

The warmest corner of the Black Sea is the coast of the Caucasus, where the average is +17°C per year. The Caucasian coast has more precipitation (1500 mm per year), the least of them in the northwest (up to 300 mm per year).

The Black Sea is not subject to freezing, the water does not cool below +8 °C.

Section 4. Local flora and fauna

Have you ever thought about what kind of organisms inhabit the Black Sea? The characteristic shows that the flora of the Black Sea consists of more than 260 species of green, red bottom and brown algae: cladophora, ulva, cystoseira, zoster, etc.

The phytoplankton of the sea includes about 600 species, among which there are diatoms and representatives of dinoflagellates (dinophysis, alexandrium, protoperidinium).

The fauna is less diverse compared to, for example, the Mediterranean. 2,500 species of animals live in the waters of this sea, including 160 species of mammals and fish, up to 500 protozoa, 500 crustaceans, 200 molluscs, and other invertebrates. About 9,000 species live in the Mediterranean today.

At the bottom of the sea, oysters and mussels, predatory mollusks of rapana found shelter. Among the coastal rocks and stones you can find crabs, there are jellyfish, shrimps, sea anemones and sponges.

The small number of wildlife is affected by salinity and water temperature, as well as the formation of hydrogen sulfide at depths. However, the waters of the sea are suitable for the existence of undemanding species that do not require depth.

Section 5. What kind of resorts are on the Black Sea?

Russian resorts are located in the Krasnodar Territory. The most popular of them are Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik and Tuapse. The best sanatoriums and boarding houses are built here.

There are resorts on the Crimean peninsula: Evpatoria, Alushta, Yalta, Sudak, Feodosia, Chernomorskoe and Sokolinoe. paradise for recreation are the health resorts of Abkhazia. One of the major tourist centers of Ukraine is Odessa, which in recent years has become a real pearl by the sea.

Sochi

Decided to go to the Black Sea? Reviews of travelers unanimously declare that it is really impossible not to visit here, and there are actually many prerequisites for this.

First of all, we note that Sochi is the southernmost and warmest resort in Russia. And it is here, on the coast, that dozens of boarding houses and sanatoriums are located.

The beach season in Sochi lasts from May to mid-October. Sunny weather lasts 300 days a year. Favorable mineral springs and mud have a health-improving and therapeutic effect on a person. Sanatoriums accept those who wish throughout the year.

The nature of this region is unique and inimitable: mountain gorges with turbulent rivers, waterfalls and caves, cold lakes, impenetrable forests and high-altitude ski slopes. These places attract lovers of outdoor activities and extreme sports.

Sochi is famous not only for beach holidays, but also for cultural attractions. There are many museums, theaters, entertainment centers, restaurants and nightclubs.

Yalta

One of the most famous resort cities of Crimea is Yalta. In addition, it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

This is a modern resort. amazing place called the Black Sea. The map shows that the beaches here are actually huge, with a length of 72 km.

The city is considered the capital of all Crimean resorts and an important administrative, cultural and tourist center on the southern coast of Crimea.

The abundance of sun and vegetation, warm sea and sand, clean air, mountains and a huge number of attractions create favorable conditions for recreation and recovery.

Abkhazia

In fact, it seems that God himself created these places for human rest. The beach season lasts from May to October and you can enjoy the sun 220 days a year.

Sea water is low in salt, clear and ideal for swimming. Tourist Abkhazia is a hospitable people, luxurious nature and many historical monuments.

Guests are waiting for excursions to waterfalls, mineral springs and Lake Ritsa, karst caves and the ruins of the ancient city. The famous resorts of the region are Pitsunda, Gagra, Sukhum and Gudauta.

The tourism industry of Abkhazia is developing rapidly: old boarding houses have been renovated and new comfortable hotels have been built, there are many restaurants and entertainment centers on the streets. One of the popular resort places is the city of Pitsunda, which is surrounded by pine forests that create a special microclimate with a healing coniferous aroma.

Here, even in hot weather, it is fresh and cool. All boarding houses are located in a picturesque bay near the sea.

Section 6. Movement of water in the Black Sea

It is believed that the ports of the Black Sea have a lot of advantages. Let's explain why. Usually this part of the world's oceans is quiet and calm. Waves appear in windy weather, most often in winter. Their height can reach 15 m, which is dangerous only for small vessels. The ebbs and flows do not exceed 10 cm and are almost imperceptible.

In general, there are two types of currents in the sea - surface and double. The former are caused by the cyclone type of winds, while the latter are formed in the Bosphorus and Kerch Straits and are caused by the difference in water density in the two basins.

Surface-type flows form two closed rings. The western ring narrows to the south and is about 100 km wide opposite the Danube Delta. The speed of this current is almost 0.5 km/h. The Eastern Ring reaches 50-100 km and has a speed of up to 1 km/h.

The double current in the Bosphorus arises due to the water exchange between the Black and Marmara Seas. The lighter and less saline water of the Black Sea enters the Marmara at a speed of up to 2 km, and in return receives the more salty water of the Marmara Sea by the lower course.

Another double current is formed between the Black and Azov Seas. At the same time, the desalinated water of the Sea of \u200b\u200bAzov enters the Black Sea upstream, receiving more salty water in return.

In addition to horizontal currents, there are vertical ones limited by the upper layers of water (up to 80 m).

Section 7. Threats of the sea: winds and fogs

The geographical position of the Black Sea clearly indicates that fogs occur over the coast or coastal areas mainly during the cold season. When cold sea air invades land, fog forms over the sea near the coast.

On the coast, it usually appears in the spring. The greatest nebula is observed in winter, especially in the Bosphorus Strait (up to 80 days a year). However, there are prolonged fogs. For example, in winter in Odessa they last up to 10 days. Photos of the Black Sea, taken in such weather, are distinguished by special romanticism and mystery.

The strength and speed of the wind at sea is greater than on the coast. When cyclones appear over the sea, moist air becomes vertically unstable, forming whirlwinds and tornadoes that are dangerous for small craft. The wind speed in winter reaches from 3 to 40 m/s. Sometimes there are storms. Night winds bring coolness to the coast.

Section 8. What are the dangers of the Black Sea currents

However, the Black Sea can also be insidious and merciless, the characteristics of this section of the world ocean clearly indicate the existence of a changeable current here, directed counterclockwise around the entire perimeter.

The current forms two rings, called "Knipovich glasses" (in honor of the hydrologist who described this phenomenon). The speed of movement depends on the rotation of the Earth. Also, the change in the current is affected by the force and Sometimes in coastal zones there are eddies directed against the main current (anticyclonic gyres).

The movement of the upper alongshore currents is changeable and is determined by the wind. One of these currents is called traction, which is formed during a storm. Waves running ashore recede in powerful streams along the channels formed on the sandy bottom. Such streams are very dangerous for people and can carry away far from the coast. To get out of them, you need to swim to the shore not in a straight line, but diagonally.

Section 9. Why is the sea rough? ancient legend

The Black Sea on the world map, even on the most ancient one, can be seen very well. That is why, apparently, they have known about him for a long time, adding up myths and retelling epics. And here is one of them.

In ancient times, there lived one brave hero, about whose courage legends were composed. One day, the old magician decided to give him a magic arrow, whose magical power depended on the intentions of a person. Once in the hands of a villain, she could bring a lot of misfortune on earth. The hero never used it unnecessarily and for selfish purposes. Having grown old, he began to look for a person who could be trusted with an arrow. But only a worthy owner could reveal her secret.

Then the hero decided to hide the weapon in the Black Sea and asked his sons to take her to its very middle. He knew that they would not fulfill his order the first time, and sent them again. The sons did the will of their father and lowered the arrow to the bottom of the sea. This angered the sea, it began to make noise and to this day is trying to throw an arrow ashore.

Section 10. Is the Black Sea getting warmer?

Can you tell exactly where the Black Sea is? The map shows that it is quite worth considering the southernmost maritime border our state. And, of course, it is also the warmest. However, there is an opinion that the temperature in it gradually rises. Is it really?

The Black Sea (the Krasnodar Territory is taken as the basis for the study) is filled with hydrogen sulfide, which means that only coastal and surface layers of water are suitable for life. By the way, because of this, it belongs to one of the most sparsely inhabited seas in the world.

The global warming also negatively affects the ecosystem of the sea, which has led to an increase in air temperature in winter and incomplete cooling of the upper layers of the sea. And this, in turn, complicates the process of vertical rotation of the upper layers of water to a depth to maintain the boundaries of hydrogen sulfide.

Warming has led to the fact that the hydrogen sulfide zone has risen to the surface of the sea by almost 12 meters and these waters have become lifeless. The volume of water enriched with oxygen continues to decrease, which causes concern for environmentalists. So, the Black Sea, whose coordinates are 43 ° 17′49 ″ s. sh. 34°01′46″ in. d. will likely continue to warm.

On the map of the Black Sea coast are the best resorts in Russia and six other countries surrounding this sea pearl.

Russia belongs northeast coast and partly northwest (Republic of Crimea), Ukraine has access to the northern and northwestern coast. The western coast is divided by Romania and Bulgaria, the southern part is part of Turkey, and Georgia and Abkhazia are in the east.

The map of the Black Sea with the countries around it provides the tourist with many resort places for recreation, which should be chosen depending on personal preferences, financial possibilities, the tourist season and the desired ways of spending time.

Russia

The resorts of the Russian Black Sea region are represented by 2 regions that have some distinctive features and similarities.

For example:

  • The Krasnodar Territory occupies the coastal strip of the Black Sea with a length of over 400 km, and includes the following resort settlements:
  • Sochi with suburbs (Adler, Khosta, Lazarevskoye, Loo);
  • Arkhipo-Osipovka;
  • Tuapse;
  • Gelendzhik;
  • Lermontovo;
  • Divnomorskoe;
  • Kabardinka;
  • Anapa;
  • Dzhemete;
  • Vityazevo;
  • Dzhubga;
  • Taman;
  • Novorossiysk.

In the resorts of the region, you can not only enjoy a beach holiday, but also engage in mountain tourism, visit ski resorts, and improve your health. mineral water and therapeutic mud in one of the many sanatoriums. Due to the large length of the coastline, the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory are distinguished by beaches and climatic conditions.

Sandy beaches are mainly concentrated in the north of the coast, from Anapa and above. Mixed sandy beaches with gray sand and pebbles are found in Dzhubga, Lermontovo, Tuapse. An artificial beach with yellow sand is equipped in Sochi. The beaches of other resort towns and villages are mostly pebbly.

On the northern coast, up to the city of Tuapse, there is a Mediterranean climate zone, and south of Tuapse - subtropical.

The resorts of the northern Black Sea region are protected from cool air masses coming from the continent by the ridges of the Caucasus Mountains, so the climate in this zone is predominantly dry, and winters are warm. The high tourist season is the period from June to September, when the air temperature fluctuates around + 25 C, and the water warms up to + 23 C.

From October, temperatures begin to drop to + 17 C during the daytime, but the sea is still warm (+ 17 C). Winters in the Mediterranean are cool and dry. January is the coldest month, with average daily air temperatures of + 2 C and water temperatures of + 8 C. Most of the precipitation (up to 60 mm) occurs in the spring.

The off-season is characterized by strong winds blowing from the sea. In the subtropical zone, the climatic conditions of the resorts have significant differences. Summers in the south of the Black Sea coast are humid, while winters are warmer. Therefore, the high season lasts noticeably longer - from May to October. In the summer months, the air warms up to + 29 C on average, and the water temperature reaches + 27 C.

The cost of living on the Black Sea coast starts from 1 thousand rubles. per person with double occupancy, no meals, and from 3 thousand rubles. when staying on an all-inclusive basis.

Many tourists are wary of the mentality of the local Kuban population, considering the inhabitants closed and unfriendly, shunning strangers. But this myth was debunked back in the Soviet years, and the Kubans are no different from the inhabitants of other Russian cities.

The crime rate on the Black Sea coast is quite high, as some port cities have long been used by criminal groups to sell counterfeit goods. The safest resorts according to statistics are Gelendzhik and Tuapse. The Crimean peninsula is washed by the waters of the Black Sea from 3 sides, the length of the coastline reaches 750 km.

The main Black Sea resorts of the republic include:

  • Kerch;
  • New World;
  • Seaside;
  • Zander;
  • Alushta;
  • Gurzuf;
  • Yalta;
  • Feodosia;
  • Balaclava;
  • Sevastopol;
  • Coastal;
  • Nikolayevka;
  • Simeiz;
  • Evpatoria;
  • Peaceful;
  • Alupka;
  • Black Sea.

Crimea is a real natural health resort, with healing mud and clean sea air, saturated with the aromas of juniper and cypress. In general, the coast of the Crimean peninsula is characterized by hot summers and warm winters, a small amount of precipitation per year and a long velvet season in autumn.

The entire western coast (from Sevastopol to Razdolny), as well as the eastern outskirts of the peninsula (from Feodosia to Kerch) are characterized by a dry steppe climate, with frequent winds and storms. The air temperature in summer is + 25 C, and in winter it rarely drops below + 4 C. The water warms up to + 24 C in the high season. The best time to visit is from June to October.

Map of the Black Sea with countries and resorts in them.

The south and southeast are located in the Mediterranean climate zone, with hotter and more humid summers and warmer winters. Average daily temperatures in summer fluctuate around +28 C, and in winter they drop to + 5 C. The high tourist season covers the period from May to mid-October. The temperature of the water at this time exceeds + 20 C.

The largest number precipitation falls in late spring and early summer. The cost of renting housing without meals for 2-bed accommodation varies from 1 thousand rubles. per day per person, from 1.3 thousand rubles. with two meals a day, and from 1.5 thousand rubles. on the system "all inclusive".

The Republic of Crimea is multinational, and the attitude towards visitors here is friendly. The crime rate is gradually normalizing. The safest resorts are located on east coast.

Ukraine

The resorts of the Black Sea coast of Ukraine are located in several regions of the country: Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa.

The length of the coastline is more than 700 km:

  • Kherson region:
  • Skadovsk;
  • Azure;

The marine coastal zone of Ukraine is characterized by a Mediterranean climate, with dry and hot summers, warm autumns and mild winters. The air temperature in summer is on average + 26 C, and the water temperature is + 23 C. The average temperature in winter is + 4 C. Strong winds blow at this time of the year, sometimes it snows. Frequent precipitation occurs in June, October and January.

Due to the peculiarities of weather conditions, the high tourist season falls on the period from late May to mid-September.

The coastline of the coast is heavily indented, and sandy spits alternate with estuaries. Due to the presence of the latter, water and mud therapy is developed in the Ukrainian Black Sea region. The beach line is wide and is represented by sandy beaches with yellow or white sand. The cost of living without meals in double occupancy is on average about 300 hryvnia (700 rubles) per person.

Due to the unstable political situation and the versatile attitude towards tourists from Russia, problems may arise both at the border and on vacation. Therefore, before traveling, you should carefully study the current state of affairs in the country and travel features.

Romania

Among the countries located around the Black Sea, Romania has one of the smallest water areas on the map (along with Abkhazia). The length of the coastline reaches 240 km.

The main resorts of Romania:

  • Mangalia;
  • Saturn;
  • Neptune;
  • Venus;
  • Olympus;
  • Costinesti;
  • Eforie-Sud;
  • Jupiter;
  • Constanta;
  • Eforie-Nord;
  • Mom, I.

A moderate maritime climate prevails on the coast, similar to the climate of the Crimea. The high season covers the period from May to October. The air temperature at this time is about + 27 C, and the water temperature exceeds + 22 C. Winter in the seaside resorts of Romania is warm, snow rarely falls and melts quickly.

The coldest month is February, with an average air temperature of + 3 C. Most often it rains in June, October and January. The beaches of Romania are sandy, with fine yellow sand, a wide coastline and a gentle entry into the water. On the lakes adjacent to the sea there are sanatoriums and boarding houses where you can combine a beach holiday with wellness treatments.

Romanians are distinguished by their mild disposition and calm character; they treat tourists kindly and hospitably. The crime rate in the country is low, so it is quite safe to relax here. The cost of living in inexpensive hotels of the level of 2 and 3 stars starts from 260 Romanian lei (4 thousand rubles) per day for a double room without meals.

Bulgaria

The Black Sea coastline of Bulgaria reaches a length of 400 km. The resorts of the coastal zone are divided into northern and southern coasts by a natural barrier - the Stara Planina mountain range.

North resorts:

  • Mermaid;
  • Varna;
  • Kavarna;
  • Topola;
  • Balchik;
  • Golden Sands;
  • Albena;
  • Kranevo;
  • Shkorpilovtsi;
  • Sunny day;
  • St. Constantine and Elena;
  • Byala;
  • Review.
  • Resorts of the south:
  • Aktopol;
  • Elenite;
  • Sunny Beach;
  • Nessebar;

  • Sozopol;
  • Kiten;
  • Sveti Vlas;
  • Lozenets;
  • Tsarevo;
  • Sinemorets;
  • Rezovo;
  • Chernomorets.

The Mediterranean climate of the coast of Bulgaria is characterized by mild, wet winters and dry summers. At the same time, to the north of Stara Planina, the weather is slightly cooler than in the south, and there is less precipitation throughout the year.

In winter, the air temperature usually does not fall below + 3 C, and in summer it averages + 23 C. Snow occurs in the northern part, and for the south this is a rather rare occurrence.

The water temperature in summer reaches + 26 C, in winter it drops to + 5 C. It is comfortable to relax on the coast in summer, because the constant breeze freshens the air.

The high tourist season covers the period from late May to September. In May and June, the weather is unpredictable, it often rains, due to which the air temperature can drop to + 17 C. July and August are the hottest and warmest months. From September the temperature starts to drop. And although you can still swim in the sea, the air is already quite cool. From mid-September comes the rainy season.

The beaches of Bulgaria are mostly sandy. They can be both with developed infrastructure and wild, deserted. The Bulgarian mentality, like the language, is similar to Russian, so tourists from Russia especially like Bulgaria. Contributes to this and a good-natured attitude towards any tourist.

Crime in the country is at an average level, and, in general, the peak of petty crimes falls on the high tourist season, when there are many thefts. The cost of a 7-day tour to Bulgaria during the high tourist season with double occupancy starts from 1000 Bulgarian leva (37 thousand rubles).

Türkiye

The map of the Black Sea with the countries around it is represented by 7 states that have access to the coast, among which Turkey occupies a leading position in terms of the length of the coastline. The country covers 35% of the Black Sea area, and the total length of the coastal strip is 1700 km.

Most tourists prefer to relax in the resorts of the Mediterranean Sea, unfairly depriving the attention of the Black Sea coast. Despite the fact that the infrastructure here is not so developed, and there are an order of magnitude fewer hotels, the Black Sea beaches are less busy with vacationers, which is an undoubted advantage.

The main resorts of Turkey on the Black Sea are located east of Istanbul, up to the border with Georgia:

  • Zonguldak;
  • Bartyn;
  • Amasra;
  • Abana;
  • Sinop;
  • Samsun;
  • Giresun;
  • Trabzon;
  • Rize.

The Black Sea coast of Turkey is located in the subtropical climate zone.
