The best places for a secluded holiday

Where is the best place to relax in Crimea if you want peace and tranquility? wild holiday? Romantic natures and lovers of privacy will be able to find almost deserted places on East Coast- this is the region of Feodosia, Koktebel, Kerch. In the Western part there are many such places in the area of Lyubimovka, Popovka, Okunevka, Cape Khersones (Sevastopol), Cape Bolshoy Atlesh (Chernomorskoe). The wild beaches of Balaklava, Laspi Bay and Cape Fiolent are beautiful and inaccessible to most tourists.

The most difficult thing is to find a piece of “uninhabited” land on the South Coast. This is the most popular part of the peninsula among tourists, but even here you can find places untouched by civilization. There is a small wild beach in Simeiz near Mount Koshki, and also a small, inaccessible bay squeezed between the villages of Rybachye and Malorechenskoye in the Alushta region.

The best resorts for cultural and excursion holidays

Now we’ll tell you where it’s better to stay in Crimea for those who plan to diversify their beach holiday with excursions and sightseeing. Crimea itself is not a very large peninsula, the most remote part is in Kerch; it is better to see this city separately. Having settled somewhere in Yalta-Alushta, it is easy to explore the entire southern coast; all you need to do is use public transport.

From Yalta it is convenient to visit the zoo, the aquarium, the Glade of Fairy Tales, the Ai-Petri plateau and the Uchan-Su waterfall, the Livadia, Vorontsov and Massandra palaces, the Swallow's Nest, the Massandra winery, and the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. From Alushta it is convenient to go to the mountains to the Jur-Jur waterfall, visit karst caves Chatyrdag and the famous Valley of Ghosts. Trips to Bakhchisaray and cave cities are no less popular among tourists - they are also conveniently accessible from Sevastopol, from where buses regularly run to Bakhchisaray.

The main attraction is the Genoese fortress. In the summer, an annual festival is held here, attracting admirers of knightly romance. The village of Novy Svet is rich in natural bays and grottoes, one of the most popular trails among tourists is located here - the Golitsyn Trail, and it’s easy to cool your hot head with a glass of local sparkling wine. to Cape Meganom, Feodosia and Koktebel.

Excursions around Sevastopol have been consistently popular for many years. Sevastopol is a city of military glory; according to some sources, there are about two thousand monuments and memorable places. In addition, here is ancient city Chersonesos and cave city Inkerman. Quite a lot historical monuments and in Evpatoria. The most popular of them are the Juma-Jami Mosque, Karaite Kenas, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Turkish Baths and the Yegiy-Kapai Synagogue.

More than three years have passed since Crimea was annexed to Russia by decision of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Although since then only a few states have officially recognized this legal fact, including Nicaragua, Afghanistan, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba. More recently, Syria also recognized Crimea as Russian territory, although only as long as our armed forces are on its territory and support the Assad regime. Even the fraternal union state of Belarus does not officially consider Crimea to be Russia. This situation creates significant difficulties for those living on the peninsula. You should be aware of this and make the decision to move consciously. We will talk about the difficulties created by the uncertainty of the situation in Crimea below.

Moving to permanent place residence is a very important step for every family; you need to carefully weigh the pros and cons and only then make an informed final decision.

Choosing a place to live

Without a doubt, for residents of the northern regions of our country, the climatic conditions in Crimea are the ultimate dream. At the same time, they hope to have a permanent place of residence in regions with more developed infrastructure. People are tired of the complete lack of roads in their outback, of low wages and an unworthy standard of living. It is quite natural that they began to hope to improve their living conditions, move to Crimea and solve all their problems in one fell swoop.

Before choosing a specific place of resettlement, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the opinion of the Crimeans themselves. Local authorities conducted such a survey in 2017; it is difficult to say how true they are, but a general idea can be formed.

IndexBrief comment

Residents of Yalta and Armyansk are most satisfied with the general standard of living. A huge Titan plant operates in Armyansk, which invests heavily in the city’s infrastructure. Yalta has recently begun to develop as one of the main resort and tourist centers Crimea. Residents of Feodosia, Evpatoria and Sevastopol speak relatively well about their living conditions.

The survey showed that residents of the Black Sea region were the most satisfied. Here the roads are at a more or less acceptable level, the villages are developing dynamically. The second place in terms of comfort of living is occupied by the Simferopol region.

The residents of Kerch are the most dissatisfied; the resort town of Saki ranks third in the anti-rating.

The situation is worst in Old Crimea; Leninsky, Dzhankoysky and Sakisky districts have almost the same situation.

This is the opinion of the indigenous Crimeans; trusting him or not is an individual decision. What is the actual situation in the most famous cities Crimea?

The city is based on a place ancient capital Scythian Naples, but is currently a typical example of Soviet cities. Dull five-story buildings, narrow streets, old infrastructure.

There is no sea, several small enterprises operate: a confectionery factory, a winery and cognac factory, a dairy factory and others. Simferopol is home to approximately 350 thousand residents, the average salary is 300–400 dollars. Finding a job is difficult, and you shouldn’t dream of a highly paid one.

It is home to approximately 350 thousand inhabitants, is the main military base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, and has many other military units. This specificity is reflected in the terms of residence. The civilian population mainly works in the service sector, winemaking and fishing. As for architecture, there is nothing to see except the monument to the defenders of Sevastopol.

Even by Crimean standards, the city has a low standard of living. Not long ago I worked in Kerch shipyard, it was a city-forming enterprise. Today production is idle, the population is mainly trying to survive at the expense of tourists. But Kerch now has a future; a bridge has now been built across the strait and the city is becoming the main logistics center for large cargo flows from mainland Russia. The city's population is approximately 150 thousand people.

According to the indicators of the eclogue - best city Crimea. There are no industrial enterprises here, and the sea water is relatively clean. If local authorities had solved the problem of sewer water treatment, then there would have been no complaints about water indicators at all. As for work, you can only count on seasonal earnings. All other places are firmly occupied by the local population and they are not going to give them up to visitors. Population ≈110 thousand inhabitants.

View from the 8th floor of the Tavria sanatorium

Feodosia

The town is very similar to Kerch, but has fewer numbers(70 thousand). Among the attractions is the popular resort of Koktebel, where quite wealthy Russians can relax.

Yalta

The most fashionable and popular Crimean resort city, home to approximately 80 thousand inhabitants, has good conditions for recreation. As for actual living conditions, prices for housing and food are much higher than in Moscow. Salaries are several times lower, people survive on tourists. Due to the fact that the number has noticeably decreased in recent years, local residents are trying to catch up by increasing the price of all services. The result was the opposite effect - our compatriots, spoiled by foreign service and prices, stopped going on vacation to Yalta; from all points of view, it is much more profitable to visit the resorts of Turkey. As a result, problems with work and low level life.

Real estate prices in various regions of Crimea

Important information for those planning to move to a permanent place of residence.

Property nameEstimated cost

Depending on the location, the price fluctuates significantly. House in Feodosia with total area up to 170 sq. m and 8 acres of land cost more than 12 million rubles. Much cheaper than houses in the Simferopol area. In nearby villages you can buy a house with a plot for 1.5 million rubles, prices are approximately the same in Krasnoperekopsk. For a house and a plot of land of 9 acres you need to pay 1.7 million rubles. The general rule is that the farther from the sea, the cheaper the houses. We have found the cheapest options; luxury housing costs tens of millions of rubles.

If in Bakhchisarai a small three-room Khrushchev house costs approximately 1.5 million rubles, then in Yalta you will have to pay 5.6 million rubles for the same housing, and in Simferopol 5 million rubles. A studio apartment in Alushta is valued at 2 million rubles. These are minimum prices, there are no maximum restrictions.

Near Sevastopol, one hundred square meters of land costs from 220 thousand rubles; near Yalta, for one hundred square meters you will have to pay from 400 thousand rubles. As for rural areas, prices, depending on the distance from the sea, start from 50 thousand rubles.

Due to the difficult economic situation, the market commercial real estate more loyal to customers. In Simferopol retail space rented at a price of 1000 rubles/m2.

When planning your move, you need to keep in mind that quite a lot of money will be spent on transportation costs.

As for remuneration, the average salary ranges from 15–20 thousand rubles, but you will have to look for that too. Previously operating Ukrainian companies have moved to the mainland, while Russian companies are in no hurry to develop the peninsula, fearing international sanctions. One gets the impression that the state-owned Sberbank of Russia does not comply with the provisions of the law and the Constitution on the entry of Crimea into Russia and does not open its branches on the peninsula. What can we say about other companies? Those who want a job will find work in any case, if not in the city, then in the countryside. It is much easier to work in resort towns, but only during the season.

As for the cost of real estate, work and living conditions, as you can see from the table, the spread is huge. It is impossible to give universal advice here; everyone must take into account their own capabilities and reconcile them with their desires. Unfortunately, Crimea is not only a sea and a warm climate, but also big problems that arise for those who come for permanent residence. They exist in all regions of the peninsula, and it does not matter which one you come to for permanent residence. What difficulties do residents of Crimea face?

Is it possible for residents of Crimea to travel to Europe?

If this issue does not concern you at first after moving, it will definitely become relevant in the future. If not for you, then for the children. Currently, it is very difficult for residents of Crimea to obtain a Schengen visa. All foreign passports RF documents issued on the peninsula have been declared invalid by the international community.

There are no consulates on the peninsula European countries, you will have to go to the mainland to get a visa. And yet, it is very difficult for Crimeans to obtain permission; only a few countries give permission at the personal request of the consul. Prices for such services start from 600 euros. You can contact travel companies, some of them do fictitious registration in one of the regions of the Russian Federation, and then submit documents to the consulate. The cost of such services starts from 750 euros. In addition, one must understand that not only foreign, but also Russian legislation is being grossly violated.

Where in Crimea is better for work?

In big cities there is hope to get a job public service, doctor and teacher. It will take a long time to look for vacancies on your own; the problem can be solved much faster with the help of acquaintances among local residents with a high social status. Official unemployment in Crimea is only 0.7–0.9%, but actual unemployment in winter exceeds 40%.

Military pensioners feel most confident in Crimea. They have enough security to guarantee a normal standard of living. And at the same time enjoy an excellent climate, swim in the sea and treat old diseases.

Remember that the peninsula is currently experiencing better times. If you have a desire to help him and hope that local and central authorities also have the same intentions, then you can come now. If there is any doubt, then it is better to wait a few years, Crimea will not go anywhere, and the situation may change for the better.

Life in Crimea is not a fairy tale; there are both pros and cons. Residents of the northern regions of the Russian Federation are better off choosing a place of residence by the sea, it doesn’t matter, it resort towns or small villages. Wealthy residents of mainland Russian cities tend to come to such more comfortable places.

Most of the peninsula does not have reliable and stable Internet. This is also the influence of sanctions; reputable rich operators are afraid to enter, and small ones do not have enough free funds to build stations. If your job is related to the Internet, then buy housing in cities. Exactly the same problems with mobile communications, there is only one operator, there is nothing to choose. It is still possible to talk on a mobile phone within the peninsula, but it is very difficult to reach the Russian mainland.

And the last drawback is the ferry crossing. It depends on the weather, there is no point in planning anything for a long time, there is always the possibility of problems arising. There will be a bridge, it will become easier.

Video – Five best cities to live in Crimea

After the events of 2014, when Crimea became part of Russia, one of the most popular resorts in the post-Soviet space became practically inaccessible to residents of some CIS countries. For example, those who previously made up a considerable percentage of vacationers from Belarus are now unlikely to go to the peninsula, although literally three years ago one of the most current routes for comparatively inexpensive holiday Belarusians were Crimea. But today getting there is not so easy: firstly, it is only possible from the territory of Russia (a very long distance), and secondly, crossing the border between Russia and Crimea can become a reason for refusing permission to enter the territory of Ukraine .

True, buying Moscow-Simferopol air tickets will greatly facilitate your journey to your destination, but in this case the main advantage of a trip to Crimea is lost: the prices for air tickets “bite”, so they can cost you a very significant amount, and then your budget summer vacation will not be not budgetary. Many Russians also complain that the annexation of Crimea to them disappointed tourists who rushed to the peninsula. The road is difficult, prices in Crimea have risen exorbitantly both for housing, which does not correspond at all to the service, and for food. Although, of course, no one has canceled the nature, sea and attractions of the peninsula - everything is just as beautiful here, and the educational tourist has where to go and what to see.

Crimea - where is it cheaper or where is it better?

There are a huge number of places to relax on the peninsula, different prices, with different infrastructure, conditions, nature and attractions. If you are going to Crimea for the first time, or have not been there for a long time, then our advice will help you.

From budget holiday and sparsely populated - choose east direction, the surroundings of Evpatoria will become for families with children the best option- clean beaches, shallow waters, reasonable prices. Also, a holiday with children will suit you on the Azov coast - shallow, warm, uncrowded, prices are not too bad.

Average prices with average infrastructure will be in the villages of Nikolaevka and Peschanka, which are not far from Simferopol, and this gives a lot of advantages, for example, independent trips to places of interest.

The most popular is Southern Crimea, but the prices there are off the charts. In Yalta they are inflated to the skies, however, a little further from it, in villages like Miskhor or Alupka it is already much cheaper, and you can find quite decent options. For the discerning tourist, the South Coast is suitable - in addition to beautiful nature, it offers more high level service and many excursions. As for Foros or Alushta, the prices there are also not cheap, but thanks to the many attractions and beautiful nature they are completely justified.

Where to relax in 2017 - reviews from tourists about Crimea

As mentioned above, reviews are now very different - from positive with a plus, to sharply negative with a big minus. Of course, whoever goes to Crimea with tents, wanders in the mountains, admires the beauty, or visits the sights in his car, and regardless of the service and prices, gets pleasure, he gets it. And those who have traveled abroad before and are accustomed to good service are terribly unhappy. But let’s read the reviews of tourists and find out for ourselves where to go on vacation in Crimea.

Marina: In 2015, my daughter and husband vacationed in Zaozernoye, near Evpatoria. The beaches are clean, there are no abundance of people, like in Yalta, for example, the sea is wonderful. We chose the boarding house “Sea of Happiness” and it met our expectations. The food is excellent, the sea is nearby, my daughter ran along the beaches all day long, played with the kids, and in the evenings we drank delicious Crimean wine in a cozy gazebo and were happy. The vacation was wonderful, I recommend this place to everyone for families with children.

Victoria: we were on vacation in Gurzuf, driving our own car, the impressions were simply terrible! The village itself is dirty, there is no parking, housing prices are crazy, and the service is zero, we paid 2.5 thousand for an apartment. The prices in the stores are outrageous, the beaches are crowded. The only thing that gave at least some positive was visiting the sights and the very nature of Crimea, chic and impressive. Boat trips, Ai-Petri, the palaces left an indelible impression. But I don’t recommend Gurzuf to anyone if they came to live comfortably. To explore the beauties of Crimea with inexpensive housing will do.

Advice: There are some suspicious types hanging around all the attractions who demand money for parking - give them half (we paid 50 rubles), they will immediately leave you behind, they will also advise what is where for what, they will kindly tell you where to go and what to see.

Maksim: last year in July we had the pleasure of going to Yalta. It’s dirty, there are an incredible number of people, the beaches are crowded, the prices are through the roof! We moved to Miskhor - it’s calm, cozy, relaxing with the kids in silence is just lovely. I also liked it in Alupka, but the beach there is very tiny. But Vorontsovsky Park- this is divine, it covers all the disadvantages!

Anastasia: We rested in Peschany, near Evpatoria - we liked it. Everything is clean, the sea is excellent, relaxing with a child in peace and quiet is simply delightful. But those who want entertainment will not really like it there, and it is not convenient to go on excursions. But relaxing with your family on the beaches and drinking homemade wine in the evenings is just the thing!

Georgiy: We vacationed in Yalta in November – our impressions. We are from Siberia, you can’t be scared by the weather, even though it was already cold, but we drove around, saw plenty of sights, the nature is beautiful. In Yalta the prices are very high, it's dirty, I didn't like it. We ate at the “Homestyle Dining Room” - it was tasty and not expensive, and we went to the “Pud” supermarket for groceries - the prices were at least reasonable. We went and went on excursions on our own - quite a lot, I’ll tell you, we saved a lot of money on this, from each excursion we had a couple of thousand saved in our wallet. And don’t take a taxi - it’s very expensive, and you won’t really see anything!

In Crimea, vacation spots can be found everywhere. To choose the right locality for Black Sea coast, there are many factors to consider. For example, housing prices, accommodation and living conditions, transport connection, surrounding nature, proximity to beaches and social infrastructure. The choice is also influenced by who you plan to travel with - children, elderly parents, or a group of friends.
