During the New Year holidays, Moscow transport operates in a special mode. How transport will work on New Year's Eve Bus schedule on New Year's Eve

Metro, MCC and ground urban transport will operate in new year's eve in the capital without interruption. This mode of operation will allow millions of Muscovites to meet New Year at the main city venues and participate in all events prepared by the city authorities.

By ground transport, it will be easy to get to the launch sites for festive fireworks, parks where folk festivals will take place, and other places popular with Muscovites and guests of the capital.

Which streets in Moscow will be closed on New Year's Eve?

Part of the streets of the capital due to mass events closed on New Year's Eve. Temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced mainly in the city center. In particular, on December 31, from 9.00 to 16:00, traffic will be restricted on Ilyinka Street because of the Mayor’s Christmas tree, and on the night of January 1, due to fireworks from 23:50 to 00:10, traffic will be restricted along Moskvoretskaya Street, Vologodsky Proyezd, Kadyrov Street and Fedosino.

Considering that in the New Year 2018 the bulk of entertainment cultural centers will meet and entertain guests until the morning, the city authorities prudently reviewed public transport schedule. Now, everyone can visit the most popular places in the capital, without worrying about how to get home from there at night.

Metropolitan

According to the mayor of the capital, who first mentioned traffic on New Year's Eve back in 2016, we can say that the Moscow Metro on the upcoming New Year's Eve 2018, as well as on other public holidays will work around the clock, without interruptions. The only remark of transport workers indicates that train intervals will vary from 10 minutes to a quarter of an hour. Starting from 05:30 on January 1, the Metropolitan will work as usual.

However, there is still no official data on the operation of underground transport, but the townspeople hope that the words of the mayor will turn out to be true and nothing will prevent it. Moreover, in recent years, the reliability of underground travel communication has been significantly improved.

Ground transport

The bulk of the citizens can get home by land transport (trolleybuses, buses), which will run through the streets of the capital until 03:00, with an estimated one and a half hour break. Public transport will move around all the most popular areas of the city. For those who do not have time, it is still possible to get a taxi.

It will be somewhat more difficult to get on your own transport. The main part of the roads near the New Year's entertainment events will be 90% blocked (as usual), so the cars will have to be left far away in principle. Well, in order to get to the right street, you often have to go around the restricted areas.

Suburb

Guests of the capital will be able to get home on commuter trains until 03:00. The mode of operation of some electric trains may be changed, which will be announced later. As well as the rest of the official information about the proposed schedule of transport on New Year's Eve 2018, along the streets of our capital.

Among the most popular places New Year's Eve - Moscow streets. And then, in new year holidays few people stay at home. Muscovites go for a walk at the Journey to Christmas festival, go skating on giant skating rinks and slides for tubing, skiing and sledding... Helps them to move around the city public transport, which operates on these days according to a special holiday schedule. What it is and where not to drive a car, found out "RG".

On Tverskaya only on foot

"Journey to Christmas" gathers thousands of people in the capital who are not afraid of frost or sleet. A dense crowd of people walk along the sidewalks of Tverskaya, moving from site to site, looking at the light installations that have adorned Moscow. Tverskaya - from Triumphalnaya Square to the Kremlin - is given to pedestrians for five whole days. Local overlaps along one lane will begin tomorrow, December 29. And then main street the city, as well as Mokhovaya, Okhotny Ryad and almost all adjacent lanes will be completely blocked - this will happen on the night of Saturday, December 30, and will open only on January 3. On the last day of the old year, all approaches to Red Square will be closed, including Varvarka, Ilyinka, Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge. Cars will be allowed there again only on the third day.

Subway all night

Of course, the easiest way to get to the center on New Year's Eve and during the days of overlaps is by metro. For the second time, the subway on December 31 will work all night, without a break. According to the head of the Moscow Metro, Viktor Kozlovsky, trains will run on the night of January 1 at intervals of 3.5 to 10 minutes. The Moscow Central Ring will operate according to the same schedule. That is, having met the New Year and listening to the chimes in the center of the capital, it will be easy to return home.

By the way, Muscovites began to receive gifts from the metro even a week before the New Year. Two themed trains have been launched on the Koltsevaya Line.

Ground transport will also run on New Year's Eve - a total of 168 routes will work until the morning.

But on Christmas, January 7, metro trains will extend their working day until two in the morning, 174 routes will also run land transport.

Who for the city?

Trains are also adjusted to the New Year. Their schedule changes for all holidays, and starting from December 29th. According to the press service of the Central Suburban Passenger Company, due to the fact that there are fewer passengers, part of the trains are canceled during the holidays. From December 30 to January 7, they will run according to the Saturday schedule, January 8 - according to the Sunday schedule, and on the 9th everything will return to normal.

In addition, on New Year's Eve, on some routes, the last night trains will depart from the stations an hour later.

On Leningrad direction, which is served by another carrier company - the Moscow-Tver Suburban Passenger - from January 1 to January 8, all electric trains, both "Lastochki" and ordinary ones, will run according to the weekend schedule. All changes have already been uploaded to applications with timetables - "Electric trains" and "Yandex. Electric trains", you can also watch it on the Russian Railways website.

The fare will rise, but not by much

Going on a trip, do not forget - from January 2, fares in Moscow are changing - a trip along the Troika will rise in price by one ruble, instead of 35 rubles, you will have to pay 36. Subscription prices will rise by several tens of rubles. But insignificantly - the maximum rise in price is 3.8 percent.

But electric trains, as Maxim Dyakonov, executive director of the CPPK, promised, most likely will not rise in price next year. But in the first half of the year, the company is going to finally release an application through which it will be possible to buy one-time travel tickets, which will save passengers from having to run to the box office every time - today 70 percent of tickets sold at the box office and vending machines are one-time.

By the way

And on the first of January, turnstiles will be removed in large buses with "accordion". In return, each door will have a validator. The city also promises to tighten controls. In total, according to Mosgortrans, 60 bus and 15 tram routes will operate without turnstiles. Removing the turnstiles will speed up the journey for each passenger by an average of 5 minutes.
