Triangular mirror, or catharsis. Rocky area: Triangular (Leningrad region) Trekking to the rocks of the triangular lake in winter

Not far from the border with Finland there are several beautiful lakes, and one of them - Triangular, is well known to many novice climbers. The lake itself is quite small, about 100 meters across, but next to it there are several rocks that climbers use for their training. One of these rocks is located directly on the shore, and rises like a sheer wall above the lake, and a good view opens from the top. panoramic view to the neighborhood.

There are many small parking lots here. And at the neighboring Novoselskoye Lake, 100 meters through the forest, there are also a couple of clearings. But in spite of quite a large number of places for tents, sometimes there are difficulties in finding free ones due to the high popularity of the place. The neighboring lake is much larger and is of interest more to fishermen than to those who love beautiful scenery. Not everyone dares to swim in these lakes, the water is muddy, and the bottom is clay-silty.

The whole area is indented with paths, which is great for walking. However, there are no paths to the top of the main rock, and non-alpinists will have to look for a convenient climb on their own. It is most convenient to look for a hole upward from the back side, where the rock is the most canopy, but even here you still have to climb the stones.

How to get there: In order to get here, you must first take into account that the lake is located in the border zone. It is safest to have a visa, or to pre-arrange a tourist pass. You can do this by submitting a completed application with a copy of your passport to Shpalernaya 62 (entrance from Kavalergardskaya Street), in a month you will be given a pass (information for 2017).

Having finally received a pass, we drive past Vyborg towards Imatra. On the way, two border posts will meet, where cars are selectively stopped to check documents. This is where a pass comes in handy, without which they can deploy if you get caught ... And in the future, it’s better not to remove it far, as a patrol sometimes travels through the forests. Having passed the control, after Lesogorsky, we are looking for the sign "Losevo 1.9", we go there. Having reached the 5-storey buildings, the main road will go to the right, but we need to go straight, Then the asphalt ends, and the 10 km grader begins. At the first fork, with a gazebo in the center, we go to the right. After a few kilometers, a wooden pen for cows will appear on the left, and a large field will appear on the right. Immediately after this there is a barrier, in front of which you need to turn left. Again we drive a few kilometers, and there will be a fork with a “secondary road”, on which there is a sign “take care of the forest”. We're going to the right. Then immediately another fork: the main road goes to the left at an angle of 90 degrees, and the secondary goes straight. Us right. Immediately there will be a third fork, here we are again straight ahead. After one and a half kilometers, at the next fork, we go to the left, into the field .. If everything is done correctly, on the field we will meet the sign of the Lietlahti farm, we go further ... Along the way, we will also meet a log bridge and a steep climb with many stones. Having overcome it, there will be an improvised parking lot where you can leave the car, further walking along the paths, we are looking for a clearing.

Leningrad region famous for its magnificent nature - forests, lakes and rivers. We can say that reservoirs are the hallmark of this region. According to scientists, there are more than forty thousand lakes in the vicinity of St. Petersburg. All of them differ in size and history of origin. Most of them are located in the Vyborgsky, Podporozhsky and Priozersky districts. As a rule, they are of glacial origin, and therefore their depth is not too great.

Inhabitants northern capital like to spend their free time on the lakes. Magnificent nature, clean fresh air, exciting fishing attract the townspeople. Of particular interest are these places among lovers extreme recreation. This is easily explained: in the vicinity of the city there are picturesque Karelian granite rocks.

Ten years ago, the most visited areas were the Big Rocks near and the Hiitoli Rocks, located in the same direction. Since 2000, a young area began to actively develop, located near the Finnish border - the rocks of Lake Triangular, which rapidly gained popularity among lovers of rock climbing and bouldering in our country.

Lake Triangular, Vyborgsky district

To relax a little in the fresh air, enjoy the peace and beauty wildlife, many residents of St. Petersburg go out of town. We invite you to make a small virtual tour on the Triangular lake (Leningrad region). It is located forty kilometers from Vyborg in the direction of Svetogorsk.

The triangular lake, the photo of which you can see below, is hidden from prying eyes and is reliably protected by rocks. It is especially picturesque in summer. Here you can go fishing, admire its blue mirror surface. But most tourists, especially in recent years, prefer to come here to practice their favorite sport - rock climbing.

The massifs surrounding Triangular Lake have become a real Mecca for lovers of active pastime. The rock mass is located almost on Finnish border, in the northern part of the Karelian Isthmus. The picturesque nature and a large number of interesting trails for beginners and professionals attract here everyone who dreams of conquering mountains and rocks.

This array, surrounding the Triangular Lake, was discovered quite recently (2000) by Vladimir Molodozhen and Konstantin Beketov. In 2001, the first routes were already laid here. According to experts, the potential of this area is huge. Rocky massifs with a huge number of paved trails, lots of parking lots, no problems with water - what could be better for outdoor activities?

Weather

To visit the Leningrad region, the period from July to August is considered ideal. At this time, the air warms up to +28 °C, and the water in the lake - up to +26 °C. Climbers prefer to go to these places in June and September. Experienced tourists find that at this time the weather on Triangular Lake is more convenient for practicing their favorite sport, especially for bouldering and climbing difficult routes, since the air temperature is 2-3 degrees lower.

In addition, in June they begin here. This feature allows climbers to train almost around the clock. Outdoor enthusiasts should be guided by the long-term weather forecast - in early spring, such a trip can be exciting.

Natural and ethnographic park

Lake Triangular and Lietlahti farm are part of a unique complex. According to the idea of the creators of the natural and ethnographic park and at the same time the owners of the farm - the spouses Jean and Olga Grazhulis, the project provides for several development vectors:

  • sports-amateur and sports directions;
  • rural tourism;
  • local history and ethnography;
  • construction of carpentry, carpentry, stucco and pottery workshops;
  • creation of a camping center.

Formulating the concept of the park, the Gražulises argue that this is an effective way to approach the use of land. The main goal of the complex is to provide guests with the opportunity to delve into the history of these places and communicate with nature.

A bit of history

Until 1940, the name Lietlahti was carried by a village located near the small Fortress Lake. Today it has a different name - Triangular Lake. The first houses in this area appeared in 1635. By the beginning of the 20th century, there were about twenty-five houses in the village of Lietlahti (Kirva volost of the Principality of Finland).

This area was later included in Russian Empire, then (after 1917) became part of independent Finland, and in 1940 became part of the RSFSR.

Lietlahti today

Today it is a natural and ethnographic park, which began to be created in 2008. At the same time, work began on the restoration of the farm of the same name. The territory of the current park corresponds to the area occupied by the village of Lietlahti.

At present, guests have at their disposal a large house that can accommodate thirty-five people at the same time. On the territory of the farm there is electricity, water and gas supply, Wi-Fi, a toilet and a sauna. There are 268 trails in the park. In 2015, two new sectors for rope climbing were mastered - routes for beginners and the rather difficult sector of Incorpi. The massifs of the Triangular Lake are within walking distance from the Lietlahti campsite and the main house.

Routes and rocks

The rocks of Triangular Lake are unique. They differ from other Karelian massifs in a huge variety of relief. Here you can also see "ram's foreheads" with sharp liabilities and minuses, large vertical cracks, overhanging slabs, internal corners. Inexperienced climbers have a place to work on their skills here: more than twenty routes have been developed for them. Below we present you the most popular of them.

"Right Crow's Nest"

Uniform and long route, having a roll-out to the "nest", rest in it and exit upstairs. Even the existing dugouts in the middle of the route do not spoil the overall impression.

"Prophetic Oleg"

The route laid on the "ram's foreheads", liabilities and minuses. The track is even, of medium difficulty.

"Baby and Carlson Castaneda"

A magnificent route with only one drawback - a small length. It will require self-control and attention from the athlete.

"Pine"

This route starts on a flat area, then follows a key transition from an inclined ledge to a vertical slot. The transition is not explicit, it is necessary to find a clue. You can try to do this several times, returning to the shelf to rest.

"Pisu Pis"

All routes are very different: from the shortest bouldering ones - up to 12 m, to long, designed for endurance - up to 25 m, with difficulty from 5s to 8s. Routes of the most different angle of inclination from "recumbent" to strong overhangs, moreover, they often change their angle of inclination.

Northern white nights allow you to arrange two workouts a day. Usually the first one starts at 10.00 and lasts until 15.00, and the second - after swimming in the lake, lunch and daytime rest from 21.00 to 24.00. Most of the rocks are directed to the south. Therefore, even after prolonged summer rains, they dry out very quickly in the sun, with the exception of large gaps. And on some tracks with strong overhangs, you can train even in heavy rain.

Accommodation

In recent years, most tourists prefer to stay in Lietlahti Park. Here you will be offered comfortable accommodation in a central house or in a campsite. All rooms are provided with electricity, water, there is a kitchen for cooking with all necessary utensils. There is an excellent bathroom on site. Free parking is provided at the guest house.

And lovers of a more romantic holiday can settle on the shore of the Triangular Lake in a tent camp. The only condition that should be strictly observed when creating your own camp is not to occupy the parking lots of various communities and climbing clubs. The entire area around the lake is in an official, documented lease from the Winner company.

You cannot drive directly to the parking lots by car, you must follow the path. This should be taken into account when traveling with small children.

Residence Rules

As Triangular Lake becomes more and more popular every year, experienced hikers and rock climbers are encouraged to follow the rules of conduct. They are quite simple:

  • do not leave trash behind;
  • watch out for the fires;
  • bury toilets;
  • do not dump household waste and chemicals into the waters of the lake;
  • do not leave inscriptions and drawings on rocks and trees.

Communication with border guards

The triangular lake with rock masses and Lietlahti Park are located in the border zone. All guests are advised to treat the representatives with respect. border service. Sometimes they come to the camps or you can meet them on the trails. As a rule, a polite and friendly conversation ends with a document check.

Climbers with a pass are allowed to:

  • to be freely in the reserve and the border zone;
  • punch rocks and relax on the shore of the lake;
  • to fish.

Issuing a pass

The border zone, in addition to the lake, rocks and park, also includes the section of the road on which the border points are located. When transiting or staying in the border zone, a pass is required. To date, not a single case of failure for climbers has been recorded. The document is drawn up without any questions, however, the procedure is delayed for 30 days. Therefore, you should take care of this in advance by ordering documents in Vyborg or St. Petersburg, and pick them up on the way to the rocks. This service is free.

Triangular lake how to get there?

Below we will present you available ways, which will allow you to get to the Triangular Lake, and you choose the most convenient for you.

From St. Petersburg, you can get to Vyborg by local electric train, then transfer to a regular bus.

You may want to drive to Triangular Lake. How to get there? The route is as follows: St. Petersburg - Vyborg - Lesogorsky - Losevo - rocks and a lake. The road through Vyborg along the Priozerskoe highway, bypassing the village of Svobodnoe, and further to Topolki will take you an extra three hours. In addition, the road itself cannot be called ideal. Therefore, many people prefer to travel by train.

1. Road

A month passed imperceptibly after returning from the May Crimea. The fingers began to forget the "taste" of touching the stone. Vacation is still far away, but this is not a reason to spend half a summer in four walls. Due to the fact that June 12 is the third day off, we have the opportunity to go to real rocks. As in previous years, the choice fell on Karelia. To be completely precise, this is not Karelia, but the Leningrad Region, but the forests of the Karelian Isthmus are associated with Karelia for many, and before the Finnish war it was Karelia. So still Karelia.

Only this time I wanted something new. Triangular Lake reports from PP, OSS, route classifier and photos of rocks lost in the forests were exciting. However, all of our predecessors got to the place on their cars or bicycles, and we had neither. A variety of plans were ripening in my head for a long time, the implementation of which was almost impossible. And then one day I once again looked at the map of the Karelian Isthmus and it dawned on me: “Before this Triangular from Vyborg, some 90 kilometers!” To overcome this distance, you can hire a taxi driver for a very reasonable price. The visionary idea immediately became quite achievable.

Having studied the train schedule from St. Petersburg to Vyborg and from Vyborg to Lesogorsk, I found that Lesogorsk, from which the “bad” forest road goes to Triangular, is not a hole at all. From Vyborg to Lesogorsk, diesel trains run quite often, albeit slowly. Lost in the forests, almost inaccessible lake became very close: a night on the train; train to Vyborg; diesel to Lesogorsk; in Lesogorsk search for a car; by car towards the cherished lake until the road becomes “really bad”; and finally walk through the forest for 5 kilometers or more. It is acceptable for us to take a taxi directly from Vyborg, but there was a high probability that, having reached the “bad” dirt road, the driver would refuse to take us further.

The age-old problem with buying tickets to St. Petersburg and back has been resolved. We went there on Wednesday evening, taking two days off from work, and went back in a sit-down carriage and arrived in Moscow at 10:20 am on Tuesday. Food, film, repellents, tickets, gear bought. Map, schedules, guide printed out. Things are collected. The weather forecast is optimistic. And on the evening train we leave for St. Petersburg.

We don't have much time in St. Petersburg. Without stopping anywhere, we take the metro to Finland Station, buy express tickets to Vyborg (160 rubles), try to buy bread, but the shops are still closed. We have breakfast in the express, and here we are in Vyborg. According to the schedule, diesel engine Vyborg - Svetogorsk leaves 5 minutes after the arrival of our express train. It is desirable for us to have time for it. We run from platform to platform, and here we are in an old trailer, where the seats are wooden, and the windows are latch closed. Mostly dacha residents – pensioners – ride in the carriage. The conductor sells tickets, which are bought very badly. Everyone has benefits, yes, everyone knows. When we bought tickets (60 rubles per person), it seems that the conductor fulfilled the plan for paying for a month in advance. Diesel goes painfully slowly, stops at every post, but we have nowhere to be late. In 2 hours we are in Lesogorsk.

Lesogorsk is not Lesogorsk because the mountains are overgrown with forest. There are just mountains of forest in Lesogorsk! Along railway mountains of logs stretch, there are timber trucks, timber trucks with Finnish identification marks. This is the kind of forest Finns build their houses and make their furniture from.

In Lesogorsk we go to the store, we buy bread. We learn from the saleswoman the phone number of the Svetogorsk taxi: + 7-921-575-24-37. We call, we ask for a bigger car, more passable. After 10 minutes, a taxi driver arrives in a broken Zhiguli, but with checkers. We sit down in the car, indistinctly explain to the driver where to go, we go. I'm sitting in the front seat. I have a map in my hands, I have the duties of a navigator. Driving past a store in the village of Losevo, the driver asks: “Did you forget to buy anything? There will be no more shops. We have everything, we do not waste time. Behind the village, the asphalt ends and the dirt road begins with pits and potholes, but we drove along it with average speed 40 km / h, so the road is not as bad as it is written, you can go. When we arrived at the ford, I was already preparing to unload and continue on foot, but our driver bravely drove into a wide, but fortunately not deep water barrier and overcame it with honor. Then the road became narrower, but not much worse. We soon reached our final destination, Triangular Lake, straight to the point. As the Petersburgers told us later, over the past year, Finnish timber trucks have noticeably improved the road. We unload, pay the driver (600 rubles for everyone). The whole journey from St. Petersburg took 6 hours. Very good.

1. To the bypass road of the city of Vyborg, it is recommended to drive along the Scandinavia highway. You pass the junction to Vyborg (we are not going to Vyborg, but to Helsinki), then you skip 1 more junction and turn at the junction, where there are turns to Vyborg and Kamenogorsk/Svetogorsk/Lesogorskoe. After 1.5 km there will be a border post (for several years the post has already been closed, although the border zone has officially been restored). Further along the road to Kamenogorsk/Svetogorsk/Lesogorskoye (main) 9.4 km to the sign "Kamenogorsk - straight ahead, Lesogorskoye, Svetogorsk - to the left". You need to go left. The fork is very large, triangular. After 37.6 km there will be a railway crossing. After another 3.7 km you will see concrete bus stops (on both sides of the road). This is the turn to the village of Losevo and the village of Topolka (from the border guards to the turn 41.3 km, from the crossing - 3.7): turn right, before reaching the right bus stop. The road you turned onto before joining the main one forks so that bus stop was on the island. After 100 meters there will be a shield with a picturesque inscription "Losevo". On this road, go 2.3 km to the village of 6-8 five-story buildings. Already in the village there will be a fork: a good asphalt road goes to the right, right uphill past the five-story buildings (they will be on the left) there is a road along which you have to go. On the way, you go to the outskirts of the village, to the beginning of a dirt road (from stops 2.4 km). The primer initially goes downhill. Locals know this path for cars as the road to the village of Topolki. Everywhere you go on the main. After 3.1 km there will be a crossroads, an equivalent road adjoins your road on the left, a field on the right and a forest and a lake behind the field. Go straight. After another 3.3 km the road forks. To the right is a field, in the distance a lake, a house, a forest behind the house. The road goes straight to the house, you - to the left along the main one. After 12 km from the beginning of the dirt road, after descending downhill, the road makes a sharp turn to the left (the road is even inclined) and a slightly less noticeable road goes straight. At the fork in the road going straight hangs a sign "hunting". You have to drive straight along the secondary road (the main road goes to Topolki). After 1-2 kilometers the road will come to the field. In front of the field, a secondary road will leave to the right. You have to go straight across the field. After the field there will be a stream, which you have to ford, and after the ford there will be a very bad road. If you really feel sorry for your iron horse, then you can leave it here. Although usually everyone slowly creeps to the lake itself. The lake is about 1.5 km further along this road. It is impossible to pass the lake and rocks.

2. The cliffs of Lake Treugolnoe can also be reached along the Priozersky highway. In terms of distance, it is even a little shorter, but you are unlikely to save time due to the greater congestion of the Priozersky highway and the quality of the road. Nevertheless, if for some reason you are driving along the Priozerskoe highway, then you need to turn after the village of Losevo after about 10 km to the left to the village of Melnikovo (before the turn, after 200 m, there will be a wooden church with a blue dome on the right). In Melnikovo, turn onto Borodino (in the center of the village there is a roundabout square - the last turn). On the way to Borodino there is a road section of about 3 km on which there is no asphalt. Be careful and do not exceed the speed limit! In Borodino, after passing the railway crossing, immediately turn left onto Svobodnoe. In the village of Svobodnoye, the asphalt ends. If you have an off-road vehicle, then immediately after the asphalt ends in Svobodnoye, you can safely turn left straight onto the road leading to the rocks. Otherwise, we recommend that you make a "loop" through the village of Topolki. To do this, we go straight to Svobodnoye village. Further on, at all the lapels of the road, turn left. Thus, we will reach the turn with the sign "hunting". Further description of the road, see above.

Near the lake in front of a small descent, on the left and right there will be clearings where you can leave the car. Keep in mind that there can be a lot of cars on summer weekends, but few clearings. Don't park your car across the entire "parking lot".

3. If you do not have a car, then the best option will come to this place by taxi from Lesogorsk. Local taxi drivers already know this place. You can get to Lesogorsky by bus from Vyborg, and to Vyborg, in turn, by train. Some take a taxi right in Vyborg. Large companies take a minibus as a taxi in Vyborg. Immediately we advise you to agree with the taxi driver so that he takes you back “on call”.
