Kamala beach alanya. Kamala Beach, Phuket: the best of the exotic. Markets and shops on Kamala Beach

Kamala beach ( Kamala Beach) — best beach in Phuket in our opinion. Our preferences do not always coincide, but we both liked Kamala at first sight. Kamala has a calm sea, pleasant sand, few tourists and all the necessary infrastructure. We were lucky to live on Kamala for a whole month, and during this time the beach did not have time to get bored.

Kamala Beach, Phuket

Kamala Beach: description and impressions

What a beauty! are the first thoughts that come to mind when approaching the beach. And what a blue water! There are no waves, you can swim! We take off the flip flops - the sand is so soft and fine, as if you are walking on fluff. And there are so few tourists! I've been on the beach for 10 minutes and I haven't heard a single Russian word yet.. Is this really Phuket??

Kamala beach. Phuket

Kamala is a great place to stay in Phuket

The water is clean, although not always crystal clear. For a month, I have never touched any debris in the water. There are usually no waves at all or they are very small, only on some days there are medium waves that you can jump on. Sometimes biting is felt in the water - a feature of all Phuket beaches. We did not understand who bites, small plankton or tiny jellyfish.

Entry into the water is pleasant and smooth, the bottom is sandy without stones and shells. I would even say that the entry and bottom here are just perfect. To a depth of "neck" meters 30-40. There are specially fenced safe areas for swimming, where lifeguards are on duty and boats do not swim. But at low tide, the water leaves and swimming is complicated by the fact that it becomes very shallow.

Waves on Kamala

Few Russian tourists

There are generally few tourists on Kamala, when compared with the most famous beaches- Kata, Karon and Patong. The resort is not very popular among Russian-speaking tourists. When we arrived here, I heard Russian speech only on the third day. And I thought that Phuket is the second Pattaya in terms of the number of compatriots. Mostly Europeans, Germans and British, and the Chinese, of course, rest here. An American accent is also sometimes heard.

At the end of November, with the onset of the high season, more Russians appeared. Now on the beach, nationalities are mixed in approximately the same proportions. However, according to my observations, the Russians on this beach are not some kind of cattle, but rather decent people. There was no such thing as someone swearing on the entire beach, sorting things out or staggering around drunk. On this beach for the motherland is not ashamed

How to sunbathe? Sunbed with umbrellas and shade from palm trees

Phuket now has sun loungers again. An umbrella is placed between them. The amenities are not free. Prices like 200 baht for 2 sun loungers and an umbrella. If the price has changed, write in the comments.

These are homemade deck chairs

If you don’t want to pay for a sun lounger, you can always sit anywhere on the beach on your towel. There will be a shade under the palm trees until about noon, so umbrellas are not particularly needed. The main thing is not to lie down under a palm tree with coconuts. On most palm trees they are cut off, but for some reason some palm trees are not touched.

Resting in the shade of palm trees

Beach entertainment

From the entertainment offered jet skis, banana and parasailing. 30 minutes on a scooter costs 1500 baht. They didn’t know about a banana and a parachute, but I think it costs no less to fly. There are also several massage points in the middle part of the beach.

Cafes and restaurants

There are several beach cafes right on the sand, which are open from 10 am until late in the evening. In the middle part there are several bars and cheap street cafes "for the locals", in which tourists mainly eat. Prices do not differ much from ordinary Thai cafes, well, maybe a little more expensive, because on the first line.

beach cafes

Cheap Thai cafes

Near Thai cafes there are always a few macaroons, in which we often took banana pancakes for 40 baht. It's a little more expensive than main road where the same pancake costs 30 baht. By the way, in these cafes you can eat with your own drinks. I don't know about alcohol, but we used to bring our own soda from 7-Eleven.

Many merchants

Merchants are unobtrusive, just say know or ignore. But they can quickly get bored with the fact that they come up to you 5 times a day with their elephants, scarves and fake watches.

Where can I order a transfer from the airport?

We use the service - Kiwi Taxi
Ordered a taxi online, paid by card. We were greeted at the airport with a sign with our name on it. We were taken to the hotel in a comfortable car. You have already talked about your experience In this article

The process of hilling tourists

deserted beach

In the far right corner of Kamala near the mountain is the famous Novotel. Between the central beach and the Novotel beach, a deserted semi-wild area stretches. Here you can sit in such a way that there will not be a single tourist within a radius of 100 meters from you.

Deserted part of Kamala

Do you still think Kata Beach is the best in Phuket? Read on. IN near the wild beach there is such a paradise meadow:

The best of the exotic

Novotel beach

passed wild beach, we get to the beach of the Novotel hotel. This is a small corner lagoon, so there is always a calm sea. Casuarina trees grow on the shore, which provide shade and exude a pleasant coniferous smell. Great place to swim with kids. But we didn’t really like swimming here, as it’s very shallow.

low tide

Every day there are ebb tides, sometimes quite strong. I don't like swimming at low tide. Usually around 10-12 am there is always a high tide, and the low tide begins closer to dinner. By the evening the water comes again. Sometimes the tide is out early in the morning. I remotely determined whether it was low tide or high tide by the level of the water in the stinky river that flows into the sea. Rivers fill up at high tide and dry up at low tide.

Low tide. Photo in the left inaccessible part of the beach

stink rivers

Like all beaches in Phuket, Kamala has one unpleasant feature - 3 stinky rivers flow into the sea. While swimming, you don’t think about it, and it’s not noticeable that some kind of sewage floated in the water or unpleasant odors hovered. Maybe the current is taking it away from the beach. But every time, passing by such a river, you try once again not to inhale its pungent, fetid aroma.

stink river at high tide

By the way, in this temple, which is in the photo above, we recently noted a large Thai.

The left corner of the beach, where one of the rivers flows, is used for parking boats

sunsets

I would like to end the article on something more positive than a description of smelly rivers. Kamala has great sunsets. To enjoy the sunset as much as possible, I advise you to go towards Novotel, because the mountain will block the sunset in the central part of the beach.

Kamala Map

Useful points are marked on the following diagram: places for swimming, 7-elevens, the only toilet (10 baht), cafes, and mini markets with beach accessories and souvenirs:

How to get to Kamala

On public transport in principle, you can get there cheaper, but it will take longer, since you first have to travel by minibus across the entire island to Phuket Town (100 baht), and then change to a Kamal bus (40 baht). Total 140 baht per person. If you are well oriented in Phuket, then you can shorten the path, get off right after the Heroes Monument, cross the road and catch a bus to Kamala. But keep in mind that buses run only until 17-18 hours. - no longer relevant! Now he is walking in Phuket, where you can get to Kamala for 150 baht per person.

From other beaches: if you have your own transport, then it will not be difficult to get there. Just follow the signs north of Phuket along the coast. It takes about 15 minutes to drive from Patong. From Karon and Kata drive through Patong.

If there is no bike or car, then you can take the Smart Bus. Or by bus with a transfer through Phuket Town. You reach the final (Market bus station) - at the beginning of the street there will be buses to Kamala. As a rule, they are always written in English Bangtao - Surin - Kamala. Travel time is about 1 hour or more, as there may be traffic jams. The fare is 40 baht. These buses look like this:

You can also get there by taxi. A taxi from Patong costs 400 baht. But, you can bargain with taxi drivers. We went once for 300, another time for 350 ($10).

This time, in the room we lived in, they were not cleaned very well at first. To be honest, we were immediately surprised! Before returning to the room, cleanliness, everything is arranged, etc. After the first day of cleaning, we thought that it seemed to us. Plus, traditionally cream and coffee have not yet been reported. I asked the staff to correct this situation. It seems to have been reported. The next day, it happened exactly the same. Then I was forced to contact the reception, after which they arranged a meeting with the manager for me. I explained the situation to her, she went with me to the room, where she saw confirmation of my claims. We must pay tribute, the reaction was timely! Our room has probably not been cleaned like this since its first day of use. In the following days of stay, everything was just really licked, arranged, filled and supplemented. Another issue that I immediately discussed with the manager was the issue of replacing my three breakfasts, with an additional charge - for dinner. Let me explain. I went on a dive, respectively, three of my breakfasts included in the price were burned. I offered to change them with a surcharge for dinners, for my wife - who was staying at the hotel. I was denied. I think that this is not serious and a similar issue, in principle, can be solved without difficulties. This is handled by the hotel management. I hope that next time, in case of appeal, it will be resolved.

For the FOURTH time in a row we have been in this hotel and that speaks for itself! All previous reviews, here, earlier. Everything is good: territory, five pools, three bars, two restaurants. Cleanliness in the area. We note positively, but we saw soft, not wet mattresses on the sunbeds. I already wrote about this and previously told the staff, it was not quite comfortable to lie on the sunbeds. Now it's normal. The food deserves special praise and its quality does not change with each visit! Again, the presence of a hotel beach fenced off by water is positive. Zero line to the sea. Thank you......

When we checked into the hotel, we paid a deposit. And after the eviction, the balance of the deposit had to be returned to the card within 14 days. But we never received the money! Approximately 2,500 baht (5,000 rubles!) remained on the account. We have already called the hotel, they say contact your bank, which of course we have already done, the hotel simply ignores the mail! So the hotel stole 2500 baht from us. This spoiled the whole impression of the work of the staff, I would very much like to return our money back!!!

The hotel itself is good, the rest was pleasant. We can't say anything bad about the hotel itself, but!

We have already rested 3 times in this hotel since 2012 for 24 days and every time it gets worse. The rooms should already be reconstructed - (goosebumps and cockroaches are present in every room where we lived). The hotel is doing a full load - there are no sunbeds for everyone, cocktails at the bar are diluted (and this was only noticed in 2019). The cost of living increases every year. On the neighboring balcony they smoke so that you have a full smoke screen in your room. Massage at the hotel - as lucky. Sometimes lazy and nothing. Room cleaning is ridiculous even to describe. (in 24 days - more than one general one. No one even suggests that the railing on the cormorant needs to be wiped from bird droppings. The electrics are very strangely organized. If you turn on the light, the TV goes out. ((Every year there are a lot of people on the beach people and the fact that we loved this beach and the hotel so much - will disappear. The most interesting thing is that the compliment from the hotel was fruit - there were only once. In previous years, at least 3. And please. Change the shower gel and soap - it smells terrible.

We lived with my husband from November 1 to November 14, 2019 in room 6302. The room overlooks the pool and mountains, quiet, secluded. Room cleaning for highest level. Tea and coffee sets, as well as water, were replenished daily (the staff collects used glass bottles and puts in new water for replacement). In hotel bottles you will find shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, body lotion, in boxes you will find toothbrushes, a razor, a comb, shower caps, cotton buds, and slippers and bathrobes in the closet. The hotel has chic breakfasts, including a lot of fruits, pastries, delicious yogurts. Massage at the hotel cost 300-400 baht (by the time we left, it was cheaper than on the beach), manicure - 250 baht, pedicure - 300 baht. Taxi to the airport - 700 baht. 3 times a day a shuttle rides from the hotel to Patong, one way 100 baht, round trip - 150 baht. The restaurant by the sea arranges festive evenings with a show program and live music, a table for two is about 2500 baht. There is a footpath between the hotel and the sea, to the left is the village and a 7/11 shop, to the right are restaurants and cafes (I highly recommend Lilla Island). On Friday and Monday (approximately from 14:00 to 19:00) there is an exit market near the hotel where you can buy fruits, souvenirs, delicacies, clothes

On the way from the stop to the hotel there is a wasteland and a busy highway. Sometimes too late cleaning of the room. A bit tired rooms and lack of lighting in them.

The hotel is within walking distance from the smart bus stop, Fantasea Park. There is a market across the road on Mon and Fri. Not far from the hotel is a street with restaurants, bars, shops and massage parlors. Huge green area with 4 swimming pools, 2 restaurants, access to the sea. The hotel took into account all the wishes specified at the time of booking. Spacious room with everything you need: kettle + tea/coffee facilities generously replenished daily, bottled water, refrigerator, safe, toiletries in the dispenser, a large shelf for storing suitcases. There is a balcony with dryer and table/chairs. Strong free wifi throughout the hotel. Friendly staff who escort you to your room upon check-in and help with luggage delivery, as well as creating an atmosphere of hospitality during your entire stay at the hotel. Large beach towels can be borrowed from the pool. There are various activities, for example, daily water aerobics. Varied breakfasts, large selection of fruits.

This resort region occupies a special place. The former Muslim fishing village has suddenly become very popular with tourists. And all because on a crowded island, it was Kamala Beach (Phuket) that turned out to be the most suitable for a relaxed holiday, like somewhere on Koh Samui or Koh Phangan. It especially attracts travelers who come not for the sake of nightlife and dubious pleasures a la Pattaya. It is located in the western part of the island, north of noisy Patong. There are not so many chic hotels here, mostly "threes" and "fours". But let's talk about everything in order.

How to get to Kamala

Arriving in Phuket by international plane or you transfer to a taxi or mini-bus. The latter will cost half as much - about four hundred baht. It is even more budgetary to get to the capital of the island by bus, and from there by another flight to Kamala beach. Phuket town is good transport node connected with almost every corner of the island. The only problem is that buses run quite rarely, about once an hour. They are blue in color and travel through Kamala and Surin to Bang Tao. The distance to the airport and to Phuket Town is approximately the same - about twenty kilometers.

Why go to the beach "Kamala"

Phuket is so popular with tourists that finding a cozy place where the locals are not too spoiled by vacationers, and the prices are not too high, is quite difficult. But it is here that all these bonuses are combined, and there is practically not a single minus. Therefore, people tend to come here who stop for a long vacation - three to four weeks at least. And if during the season the south of this resort can be filled with people - due to the influx of people from Patong - then its northern part still remains a reserved area. Although the infrastructure of the resort is not very developed, most hotels have everything you need. It is also a paradise for divers. After all, the beach "Kamala" (Phuket) boasts beautiful coral reefs, located not very far from the coast.

Marine vacation

Kamala is good for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is quite long - it stretches for one and a half to two kilometers along a very picturesque bay overgrown with palm trees, so there is enough space for everyone. and petty. The descent into the water is gentle, but the waves are not very strong. Sunbeds and sun loungers are expensive. They are mainly concentrated in the south and in the center of the resort. There they cost about two hundred baht a day. Here developed tourism infrastructure, a lot of water activities and massage parlors right on the beach. A little further you can go to any beach bar, order something - and lie on their inventory as much as you want. But in the very north you will have to make do with your own or hotel beach towels. But there are almost no people here, and the water is very clean and transparent. This is because in the north of Kamala beach there are almost no different skis, bananas and scooters. But do not forget that it is dangerous to swim here during the rainy season, because very strong undercurrents begin.

What else to do here

Firstly, this resort is famous for the whole Phuket theme park Fantasea, where people come from all over the island. Grandiose performances are played there, where not only hundreds of people, but also animals participate. There is also a wonderful restaurant "Golden Kinnaria". His amazing buffet is legendary. To get there, you need to buy an entrance ticket to the park and pay extra for visiting. Secondly, one of the fashionable entertainments in Kamala is a parachute flight to view the resort from above. And if you do not dare to do this, you can climb to the top of the Khao Phonthurat hill. There is an excellent observation deck from where you can see the entire Kamala beach, which you can do from there, it turns out amazing. After all, the resort is covered with tropical forests, climbing the rocks.

Where to eat

Even if there are no such grand shopping centers with food courts as in Patong, their absence is more than compensated by various kiosks with delicious and fresh Thai food. Besides, the main street The resort is replete with restaurants and cafes where you can eat both for big money and not so much. And the beach itself is full of macaques and other peddlers. French and Italian cuisine is very popular in Kamala, so if you have the funds and want to eat with a real chef, visit places like La Carbonara, Basilico and White Orchid. Delicious seafood, especially, is cooked in Rockfish, Sweet Dreams and Ponds establishments.

What and where to buy

As already mentioned, there are no large shopping centers here, but small shops are everywhere. Tourists buy here everything they need for relaxation - mattresses, towels, mats, flip flops, swimwear and more. Souvenirs, simple clothes and shoes are also sold at affordable prices. Since Kamala Beach (Phuket) - reviews confirm this - is the Muslim part of Thailand, the main market here is open on Fridays. Come and you won't regret it. So many goodies, including dried exotic fruits, as well as branded items at ridiculous prices, you will not find anywhere else.

What to see

In the south of the resort there is a rather interesting Buddhist temple with beautiful modern paintings illustrating the life of Gautama. Nearby is a cozy park with a memorial to the victims of the 2004 tsunami. It is known that the village of Kamala was wiped off the face of the earth by this terrible catastrophe, and then completely rebuilt. In addition to Fantasea Park, where a theatrical and circus performance about the ancient prince of Kamala unfolds with dancing, various special effects and a demonstration of ancient Thai magic, you can visit other shows that take place in the Elephant Palace. And on Fridays, the most famous bar in the area - "Skyla" - organizes a disco with professional DJs.

Resort hotels

Hotels on Kamala Beach (Phuket) are mainly located along Beach Road. Unlike most resorts on the island, there is no road between the local hotels and the sea, so here you can find hotels on the first line from the sea. Of the luxurious five-star palaces, the most popular are Aiyara Resort, Cape Sienna Hotel and Villas and Naka Phuket. Ayara Kamala is located on a hill, quite far from the beach, but its rooms offer great views, and a free shuttle takes you to the sea.

But "Cape Sienna", on the contrary, is located on the ocean. Therefore, all its rooms and villas (some have not only their own kitchens and private pools, but even wine cellars) have sea views.

"Fours" are usually located across the street from the beach. The best of them are Aquamarine and Swissotel. The latter is interesting in that it is located not too far from Phuket shopping center"Jungseylon", and besides, it has its own mini-water park.

Hotels on the beach "Kamala" (Phuket, 1 line) are also three-star. There are few of them, they are unpretentious, but very functional. An example is the Kamala Beach Inn. There are many cheap guesthouses and apartments in the resort, such as Tara Hotel, Baan Hostel and so on.

Thailand, beach "Kamala" (Phuket): reviews

This corner of the island is very popular with couples, lovers and young people seeking solitude. The beach is more loved by the French, Germans and other Europeans, there are not very many Russians here. But those who have visited this land call Kamala the best place in Phuket. There are few tourists, clear water, white clean sand, and everything you need is there. Plenty of shade from the palm trees that grow everywhere. There are even semi-wild beaches where you will hardly meet people. Besides, you won't get bored here. People rest mostly decent. Reviews about hotels in Phuket (Kamala Beach) are very positive. Staying in five star hotels is called elite vacation, complete relaxation and pastime in luxury style. But there are also excellent reviews about cheaper hotels, especially about the ratio of price, quality and services. In some hotels good view on the sea, in others - all conditions are created for a romantic vacation or a holiday with children. Come!

Kamala Beach - this beach can be called urban in the full sense of the word. It is located in the central part of Phuket on its western side and north famous beach. In fact, this is the coast of the town of the same name, which consists not only of tourist buildings, but also of the houses of ordinary residents.

Description of the beach

This beach is not one of the smallest, its length is about 2 km, while its width is very narrow (20 - 30 m). For a long time Kamala was quiet and calm place. The beach served as a marina for fishing boats and for recreation of Thais. There were very few tourists on it. However, in recent years, more and more often you can meet older people who have chosen this quiet and peaceful place as their second home.

It is understandable, all the benefits of civilization are at hand, at the same time, the sea is within easy reach. In addition to those who moved here, there are now many package tourists.

The sand on Kamala is white, like grains of salt. On beach line there are many hotels and the beach area near them belongs to them. Accordingly, sand quality and purity can vary significantly.

The beach is popular, but much less noisy than or.

In my opinion, it is somewhat similar to, that is, it is relatively calm and a little rustic here, but there are enough people. With cleanliness on Kamala, too, everything is in order. Only on the southern "wild" part can there be a lot of garbage.

Entry into the water, depth and waves

The southern part of the beach is not suitable for beach holiday. The coast there is dirty, there are a lot of stones and cobblestones. Local fishermen often park their boats there. Also on the southern part there is a rather gentle entrance, you can walk for a long time to the depth. And in the central and northern parts, where there are umbrellas and sun loungers, the entrance, the closer to the north, the less gentle.

The wide line of Kamala Bay favors the winds that create big waves. To the north of the beach, they rise to heights of up to 3 m, and approaching the shore, they stumble upon a network of underwater reefs and rise even higher. During the monsoon season, red warning flags appear on the beach. Swimming at this time is dangerous. Strong waves can hit you and carry you away from the shore.

Sun beds and shade

There are not so many sun loungers on the beach. In the most visited areas of the beach (center and north), you can rent a sunbed with an umbrella for a standard 100 baht. Hotels that have their own private areas of Kamala often put up additional rows of sunbeds that are available only to guests of this hotel.

The beach can change a lot in different seasons. In high season, the entire beach from the center to the north is one large field of sunbeds. There are many people swimming in the water, the waves are quiet and smooth. In the low season there are few sunbeds, even in half an hour of walking you can not find one.

There is practically no natural shade on the beach, only if there is an extreme row of sunbeds adjacent to the trees, and in the morning, when the sun is not yet so high.

beach photo

South of Kamala (left)

Infrastructure

On the beach itself there are all the Thai attributes of the beach. Massage parlors, tent cafes, mini markets and hundreds of sellers of cheap souvenirs, clothes, beach accessories. There you can not only buy, but rent a scuba diving apparatus and explore the northern reefs.

In addition, according to many surfers, steep waves are an excellent source of adrenaline, but only experienced professionals should conquer them. If you are an excellent surfer, then during the wave season Kamala will be your Everest. Many available boats, boats and kayaks are also waiting for you on this beach.

Some tourists rent a boat and sail to one of the neighboring, more attractive beaches. But you can ride not only on boats, but also behind them with a parachute or on a "banana".

Holidays in Kamala are not limited to typical entertainment. Yoga schools are available at hotels (meditating on one of the stones of Kamala against the backdrop of the rising sun is worth a lot), real Thai massage parlors and Thai cooking schools, where you really will be taught how to cook Thai food perfectly.

The combination of beach and civilization gives undeniable advantages to Kamala. You can walk around the village, go to the Friday Market, where a large selection of goods is presented not only on the beach theme. There is also a mini Tesco and a small Big C.

A trip to the Kamala Temple will also not leave you indifferent, but the most interesting place is (Phuket FantaSea) is an incredible and biggest show on the island. In my opinion, it is more designed for children, although adults will also be interested.

Hundreds of artists, elephants and other exotic animals will tell you interesting story under the vaults of the evening sky. But Phuket Fantasy is not limited to performance. She claims to be the most big park entertainment in Phuket. There are many cafes, attractions that look like fun carnival games and, of course, shops.

The architecture of the Palace of Elephants and other buildings is pleasing to the eye and amazing. The park itself is filled with helpful employees who will take care of you (they will tell you where the most interesting entertainment and other pleasures of life). This park is located in the central part of the beach, just 300 meters from the shore.

Houses and hotels on the beach

All coastline(1 lane) is occupied by expensive hotels, if we are talking about the central part of the beach. And hotels occupy all the space from the coast to the main road, which goes far from the coast. There are almost no hotels along the coast in the northern part of the beach, instead there are wastelands fenced with fences (future hotels?). And there the hotels will all be across the road from the beach, and their density is also small.

In terms of prices, the farther from the coast, the cheaper, which is logical. You can even find a hostel for as low as 200 baht per bed. On the other hand, luxury hotels, from the rooms of which there is an unsurpassed beauty of the view of Kamala Bay, can cost more than 15 thousand baht per day.

In addition to price, appearance is also an important factor. Here Kamala also provides a great choice. There are modern grotesque hotels made of glass and white stone, and there are cozy mini-coves-pools with wooden houses that form their own special system.

If you want to book a hotel here in advance or look for accommodation on other beaches, I have

The coast stretched for almost 3 kilometers. The beach can be divided into 3 areas: south on both sides of the hill, center and north. The southernmost tip of Kamala is not suitable for swimming. At low tide, it becomes very shallow here, and the bottom with stones is exposed. Two rivers flow into the sea from the south side, and fishermen moor their long-tailed boats here. A little south of Kamala, through the pass, spread secret beach Hua. It is completely wild, there is almost no infrastructure there.

The central part of Kamala starts from the tsunami monument and continues to the north. The sand here is of different sizes, in some places it is quite fine, in others it is larger. The entry into the sea is gentle and without stones, which is suitable for swimming with children. At low tide, you need to walk to the depths. The color of the water is not as beautiful as on or Surin, the sea sometimes seems unclear, although it is clean. The central part of the beach is bordered by casuarina and palm trees, creating a natural shade. It is here that the main beach infrastructure is located: sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, stalls with drinks and water sports. The price for a set of two sun loungers and an umbrella is 200 baht for the whole day. There are places where you can sit with your mat in the shade of trees and rest comfortably without fear of getting burned. Paid toilets and showers are provided by nearby restaurants.

The very north of Kamala is quieter than central part. There are few people here, you can sit on a mat in the shade of trees, and swimming is as comfortable as in the center, the tides are hardly noticeable. A stream flows into the sea, which dries up during the high season and does not disturb vacationers.

The south of Kamala Beach is not suitable for swimming

Kamala Beach Hotels

There are not many hotels in Kamala. All of them are located near the sea. In the very south on the mountain are located, and private villas. The sea around them is not the best: low tides are noticeable, the bottom is with stones, but hotels provide shuttles to their own beach club with good sea and the views from the rooms and restaurants are gorgeous. In the central part of Kamala, you can settle in three star hotel, in a foursome for adults only from 16 years old and in a children's hotel with entertainment for young guests. In the northern part, right on the beach is located, and a little to the side - with water slides.

Located on the shore with a magnificent view of the sea good restaurant Mamma Mia with European, Thai cuisine and. Another favorite of mine is the Ohlala restaurant, located on the main road. The menu offers Thai classics, northern Thai dishes, including khao soi soup, papaya salad, and European food.
