The best vacation experience!))) I recommend it to everyone!))))).
Good day to all!
In this review I will share with you my impressions of a holiday in North Goa (02/09-02/22/17). Inspired by last year's trip to South Goa (we were in Cavelossim), when choosing a holiday destination, we without a doubt gave our preference to beautiful India). This time we decided to visit the North of Goa - we wanted to compare whether there really are such strong differences in the way and pace of life in the two parts of the smallest of the 29 states of India.
Traveling around different countries, I am usually very sensitive to the choice of hotel and the quality of service, however, after last year’s trip, I realized that India is not the place where you need to chase the star rating of a hotel: whether it’s 4 stars or 2, you won’t feel much difference. Therefore, we did not bother too much, and our choice fell on Hotel Sea Breeze Resort in Candolim. Let me clarify right away that, having read a lot of negative reviews about the hotel, we did not have any hopes for it. I'll tell you about the hotel a little later.
We departed from Moscow (Sheremetyevo) and flew with Royal Flight. I think those who have never flown with these airlines, but are planning to do so, may be interested in my opinion. The rest, you can safely skip this entire paragraph and read on))). Royal Flight airline, unfortunately, does not provide passengers with the option of online check-in, so we arrived at the airport (Sheresetyevo F), as expected, 3 hours in advance, and, as I understand it, we were among the first to check in for the flight. At the reception we asked for seats that were convenient for us, and they gladly accommodated us. Luggage weight per person is 20 kg (luggage + hand luggage). We were lucky, we took tickets in November, but for those who did it already in December, not so much, because the airline issued new restrictions - 10 kg per person. I can’t imagine how this is even possible to accomplish; for example, my empty suitcase weighs only 5 kg)). But this is probably the only negative, and even one that did not affect us, of these airlines. We quickly passed all the necessary control points, and the plane took off on time. We flew on a Boeing 757-200. Our fears about the airline were not justified: an incredibly polite and attentive crew, quite good and tasty dinner (pasta with meat or chicken and rice) and breakfast (pie with cheese), comfortable seats and, in general, a fairly comfortable plane. The six hour and forty-five minute flight flew by. I want to give you a small one, but helpful advice about which seats it is better not to choose (if possible) on a given plane - from rows 1 to 9 and the last rows. The fact is that the plane is designed in such a way that there are only two toilets: at the beginning and at the tail, respectively, in the aisle (between just two rows of three seats each) a large queue gathers (jokes aside, during our flight, there was a queue you could stand there for 20 minutes, so it’s better to leave early ;)))), with a wide variety of people. Therefore, if you don’t want to spend the entire flight listening to the conversations of drunk passengers and watching the dissatisfied faces of those who have been patient for a long time, choose seats in the middle of the plane)))) At the end of the flight we were given immigration cards to fill out, which was very cool, as it allowed Save time and crowds at Goa airport.
Upon arrival, we also quickly went through all security and received our luggage. At the exit from the airport we were greeted by a warm pleasant climate and our tour operator Sunmar (aka Coral Travel). The road to the hotel took about an hour, during which the guide talked about Goa, excursions, currency exchange, cellular communications and answered all tourists’ questions)))
We arrived at the hotel around 7 o'clock in the morning, and we had to pay an extra $20 for early check-in. We lived in room 26, on the second floor. Quite a nice, but relatively small room with two beds, a table, a refrigerator, a TV and a wardrobe. There is a safe only at the reception, and to our question: “is there a safe in the room?” The answer was: “no, but there is a cupboard.” At first we didn’t understand what was meant, but when we got to the room, it became clear that the cupboard was a closet. And the name justifies itself, because besides cups, probably nothing else will fit in there: there is no space for hangers or a suitcase, two small drawers and a couple of shelves. All things were kept in a suitcase. Moreover, no one washed the room - neither the floor, nor the toilet, nor the plumbing (we bought detergents in the supermarket and did everything ourselves - they cleaned it up, in general). There were towels, toilet paper and a small piece of soap in the room, but we still, as I said, did not have high hopes for the hotel, and took all this with us. How did they take bed linen with them, since the beds only had a sheet and a pillow. I don’t know how Indians sleep, and how they think we sleep, but I can’t live without a blanket. We asked for it at the reception, the very attentive and friendly staff gave us good blankets, which we put in our duvet covers and spent the entire holiday sleeping almost like at home)))) As for the bath, we were lucky - the toilet worked, the water was both cold and hot. The only thing is that the plumbing is in need of repair for a long time. The room had a very cozy balcony with two chairs and a table, there was no lighting on it, but in the evenings we lit a candle when we sat there, and it turned out very romantic))) Wi-fi is only available at the reception, by the pool, and I suspect that in rooms located close to them. Wi-fi did not reach our room(((.

Now about breakfast at the hotel. Only breakfast was included in the price. And now for the second time we find ourselves paying for a hotel with breakfast, but not having breakfast in it, since this is impossible) maybe I’m picky, but disgusting coffee, overly strong tea, eggs in an incomprehensible form, cucumbers and tangerine slices , already cleaned by someone, I couldn’t handle it) but this is just a matter of taste and habit, someone may look at it all differently and be satisfied))))
We ate in cafes near the hotel and on the beach. We were in Fisherman's cove (to the right along main street), Roma Pisa (right next to the hotel, you can even enter from the hotel premises), Angaara, but most of all we liked Inferno, 21 Cocos (on the street leading to the beach) and The curry house (opposite the hotel, stairs to the second floor, prices are cheaper than everywhere else). On the beach we ate at Vincento and some other place, we didn’t really like it, so we stopped at Antonio’s. There you don’t need to pay separately for a sunbed, you just need to eat or drink juice or eat ice cream, and you can use both the sunbed and the umbrella for the whole day))). And not as many people as near other shekis. There is Wi-fi. Shek Antonio is easy to find, you need to follow the road leading to the beach, but not to the very end, but in front of the coconut sellers, turn left, there will be a path of tiles diagonally, follow it and you will get straight to Antonio, he will meet you there) )).
We walked to the beach for 5-7 minutes, but given the driving style of local drivers, this event is not for the faint of heart))).

Food prices in Candolim, let me tell you, are not that cheap. In the South we ate at 2 times cheaper. For example, a seafood salad in the South is 130 rubles, in the North - 240 rubles. Freshly squeezed juice in Cavelossim is 100 rubles, in Candolim - 180 rubles, for 100 rubles. we only found it in Inferno. And the juices there are amazing: orange, watermelon, pomegranate, tangerine, mango, papaya, pineapple...))) In the South there was no such variety, there was no mango or pomegranate, since for some reason it was February there It's no longer the season. But the food tastes better and the presentation is more interesting.

We went to the Fishmarket in Calangute, bought 1.5 kg of shrimp for 700 rubles, they prepared them for us at a nearby restaurant for 600 rubles. Very tasty!))) They gave the taxi driver 300 rubles. (roundtrip).

We were at the Saturday night market in Arpora, this is a large night market, where a lot of people gather, concerts are held, and, of course, you can buy whatever your heart desires))) (800 rubles there and back with a wait of 2-2, 5 hours).

We walked along the beach to the Portuguese Fort Aguada (40 minutes on foot) - a fortress with stunning views, especially at sunset))).

Excursions. Last year we went to “Goa in one day” ($50): we went to a waterfall, fed monkeys, rode an elephant, visited a spice plantation, Hindu and Catholic temples and stopped at a souvenir shop. We really liked it!))))) And this time we took an excursion" Northern Beaches"for $25: Arambol-Ashvem-Juice Center-sunset on Vagator. Quite good for those who want to visit other beaches and try lots and lots of freshly squeezed delicious juices!))
Next time I really want to go to “Myths of Karnataka” ($80) and Hampi ($125).

They say that in the North of Goa there are many young people and constant parties, while in the South there are more retirees who want to enjoy a quieter and relaxing holiday. About the South - I agree. But in the North, at least in Candolim, there are a lot of older people, mostly Europeans, and the youth there are mostly local. We haven’t been to all the beaches, but of those that we managed to see, the most party one is Vagator.

To Moscow we brought with us a bunch of Hymalaya cosmetics, Aloe Vera gel (by the way, it helps a lot with sunburn), Kailas Jeevan, a magical remedy for all diseases, and, of course, Old Monk rum (you can only take 3 liters per person).

Both times we knew where we were going. I’ll say right away that we went to Goa to experience all its flavor, and, in my opinion, everything that someone might perceive as negative aspects, be it the imperfections of hotels, annoying traders, cows and dogs walking along the streets, is unreal Chaos on the roads, endless trash or poverty all around cannot ruin your vacation. This is India. As she is. And she's magical.

Holidays in the South of Goa are indeed different from holidays in the North, but I wouldn’t say that much. Still, in the south it is quieter, calmer, more civilized, all restaurants and shops close at 23.00. The north is noisier and more cheerful, there are restaurants and shops at every turn and they are open until late.
Every place has its pros and cons) At the beginning of the trip, I was sure that I would never return to the North again, but now I don’t even know what to choose) I really liked it in the South of Goa, as well as in the North!)))) We stayed very happy with our vacation))))).

The return flight was on time, the flight took 7 hours 35 minutes) everything went great!)))))

Thank you very much for your attention and for taking the time to read my review! I hope that something from my story will be useful for you!))))))
Have a nice rest!)))))

I was on vacation at this hotel in May 2012. The hotel was recently renovated. Having visited the center after spending time at the hotel, you are surprised by the hustle and bustle and the endless movement of people, bikes and cars. They clean every day, also change towels and bed sheets every day, in general everything was fine, there was no hairdryer as requested. They brought me in right away. The hotel is calm and quiet.... 2 swimming pools, open until 21, but if you stay too long, no one will kick you out. There is a beach across the road, sun loungers cost 30 baht per day...

Hello to all current and future tourists! I want to tell you about the Sea breeze hotel. Trip from January 16-28, 2012. The hotel was booked in August. I liked the location and price. The reviews were also good, that’s what won me over. We've been to Thailand 3 times. always settled on Jomtien: Evrostar and Mermeid. My husband and I are not picky and did not put forward any special requirements, so we took the B standard case. it was cheaper. Upon check-in, the porter took us to a room on the first floor overlooking a small pool. Say what's there...

Hotel reviews 2011 of the year

So I went to Thailand and stayed at the Sea Breeze Hotel. I spent a long time choosing, read reviews, bought a ticket to the Main Building, as advised seasoned tourists. I read a lot about Thailand and generally prepared myself. My wife advised me not to go there anymore, saying that you already know everything. This is a retreat. I’ll start from the beginning, we arrived at the hotel at one in the morning on March 18, 2011, were given the keys to room 1301, it turned out to be in another building, I went to find out at the reception, they said that there were currently no rooms in the Glany building, they promised to move me to the next...

I was on vacation last year and finally got around to leaving a review :) I’ll start from the beginning. I flew with Pegasus Tourist, I was 6.5 months pregnant, and my friends were a married couple. We were greeted well, there were no complaints. According to the rules, we were supposed to be checked in after 3 hours, but we did it's in an hour. The hotel is a good C grade. We had standard rooms: bed, TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, bath with shower, toilet, wardrobe, balcony. The furniture is not super old, as I read here, it didn’t stink. All the plumbing worked properly, I used it...

We rested in this hotel in March 2010, we took a superior room (safe in the room). The hotel was a solid four - daily cleaning (although they left a tip of 10-15 baht), food - they only took breakfast, but in Thailand this is enough: firstly, you can literally eat on every corner, and it’s quite tasty and satisfying; secondly, we took as many excursions as possible, but still didn’t have time to see everything we wanted. We took excursions from Pegasus, with the exception of one - we went to a transvestite show with Oleg-Tur (very nice...

Hi all! We vacationed at the hotel in February with a 7-year-old child. The hotel has buildings A, B and the main one. When we took the ticket, the price was different for everyone, we chose Superior Building A. We arrived at the hotel at night and were quickly accommodated. Having previously read reviews from couples who went to the hotel with children, we realized that instead of an extra bed they only provide a mattress. We didn’t like it, and who would like to buy a ticket for three, and the child sleeps on the floor. We contacted our travel agent and she made special...

My wife and I vacationed in SEA BREEZE in mid-February 2011. I liked the hotel, we lived in the main building on the 6th floor. View from the balcony nearby hotel and part of the sea. Upon check-in, you pay 500 baht or 20 dollars, for which a receipt is issued, if you did not use anything from the bar and did not break anything, the money is returned upon check-out. We immediately took a safe (the safe room is located opposite the reception) where passports and money were kept, use of the safe is free, open from 6 to 22 o'clock, the key to the safe...

We just returned from vacation and decided to immediately write a review about the hotel. Let's start with the fact that they checked us in for about an hour, our group of 8 people were scattered across 2 floors (7th and 8th floor), although we asked for rooms next to each other, and there were free rooms on our 8th floor of the main building, this exactly. The rooms are very old - the parquet is swollen, the furniture is old, all the towels are yellow and very often torn, the same bedding - either a sheet with some stains, or a duvet cover with holes. About the bathroom...

Hotel reviews 2010 of the year

We rested 09/16-26/2010. Upon arrival, we were greeted like in the movies - everyone was given orchid beads, it looked very beautiful. Of the 10 days of rest, 7 were on excursions, very beautiful country, Very interesting excursions, I want to go back there again. Regarding the hotel, I completely agree with the review “Guide to Sea Breeze 3”. I liked the hotel, clean, cozy, pastels and towels were changed every other day, mini shampoos and shower caps were provided every day, there were beach towels, the staff was friendly and smiling...

Rested at Thailand, Pattaya, Sea Breeze Hotel from July 29 to August 13, 2010. For the hotel I give a solid 4. It is very clean, cozy and very well located, a little further from others from all the pleasures of the city center and in close proximity to the sea (crossed the road, the beach). The rooms are comfortable and quite spacious. The bed and chairs were new, the wardrobe and table were slightly worn out at the corners) The Condein was old, but functioned at 5+. The bathroom was cleaned every day and everything in it...

We vacationed for two weeks in December. I really liked almost everything about this hotel. location, staff, breakfast - everything is excellent. There were no problems with towels, including beach ones. By the way, you can swim in the pool at night - everyone turns a blind eye to this. After a night in Pattaya, it’s very good to refresh yourself in peace and quiet. We lived in building B - the room was clean, everything was new, they were cleaned regularly and conscientiously. The sea was quite clean. We bought excursions from the agency "Captain Vrungel" - we were satisfied...

Hotel reviews 2009 of the year

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from 12/06/09 to 12/13/09. I can’t say anything bad about the atmosphere, cleanliness, food at the hotel, we had room 1214 in building A with a view of the small pool, towels were changed every day and cleanliness was monitored, breakfasts were monotonous, but the range of dishes was quite satisfying - absolutely every day there were slices of papaya, pineapple, watermelon, as well as a fruit mix of many more types of local fruits; there were these big poppies...

A week ago I returned from another trip to Thailand, this time I was very lucky with the hotel, by and large, Sea Breese can be stretched to four. The rooms are clean, new with a good interior. Before that, I was in Pattaya Garden in May and still am shocked...))) Among the advantages, I would like to note the location by the sea, where by the way you can swim, and again the clean rooms. The only disadvantages were Check out, my friends and I were charged drinks from the bar, which we did not give away for free ...It's pointless to prove anything, so...
