Koktebel is popularly known as a romantic name. A picturesque place in Crimea is called the edge of blue hills because the village is surrounded on all sides mountain peaks, covered with terry forests.
The southern town thundered throughout Russia back in the 19th century - representatives of the high classes and bohemians loved to relax here, Soviet time its popularity has only increased.
The legendary resort on the map of the peninsula attracts with endless beaches and a mild climate.
This compact, cozy place is especially comfortable to spend holidays with small children. There are many within walking distance fun entertainment and catering outlets.
Transport accessibility
Getting to Koktebel is easy. Travelers arriving by plane to Simferopol cover only 100 km. Near the airport you can take a regular bus, minibus or take a taxi. For those who have made a choice in favor railway, you have to travel to the Crimean coast from the stations of Anapa or Krasnodar. The journey by bus takes about 6-8 hours, but from Anapa you can also take a catamaran to Feodosia.
Beaches
The village has several comfortable beaches, there is even a nudist beach, the founding of which is attributed to the artist and poet Maximilian Voloshin. The shores are mostly pebble, but there is also sand. For example, the best beach in the town, Quiet Bay, delights with fine golden sand mixed with shell rock, clear water and amazing scenery - it’s not for nothing that cinematographers have chosen this place. A trip here will add to the collection of the most vivid memories of your holiday in 2020.
The beaches of Dead Bay, Popeye, Maltese, at the foot of the Karadag volcano and several points of the coast adjacent to large sanatoriums and boarding houses are also popular. All of them are well equipped and can offer an excellent entertainment program.
