Dashur. Black Pyramid of Amenemhet III. Excursion ascent on the cable car “Gorki City Red pyramid with a black top in a circle

Mountain hike along the route: Sochi - Krasnaya Polyana - Aibga ridge - Black Pyramid 2375 m

The Aibga massif is located on the Southern Front Range and consists of 4 peaks - peaks 1, 2, 3 and the Black Pyramid. Highest point - peak 3 - 2462 m. Northern slopes The summit ridge of Aibga is steep and steep, as cross-shaped depressions carved out by ancient glaciers - carts - are cut into them. From Krasnaya Polyana in the Aibginsky ridge, the Black Pyramid mountain, 2375 m, stands out for its shape, which is popular with local climbers.
Peak Aibga (2450 m) - the peak is located at a distance of about 6 km southeast of the village of Krasnaya Polyana (valley of the Mzymta river).
The toponym comes from the ethnonym Aiba (Abkhaz family surname). According to another version, “mountain of the Aiba clan.” Possibly from the Abkhazian “abga” - cliff, steep place.

Conquering the peak, moving away from measured, routine life, a person becomes wild again, becomes part of the wild animal world! He feels like a tiger, the world, a lion or a river; he again, like a bird, soars in the sky, flying higher and higher! And every moment the comfort of home, wife, husband, family, bank account, society, church, respectability become further and further and further under the clouds...

Have you ever climbed to the top of a mountain??? The higher the rise, the fresher, the younger you feel! The higher the risk of falling, the deeper the abyss, the sharper the feeling of your life... When you balance between life and death, boredom disappears, there is no longer the dust of the past, there is no desire for the future: the present becomes sharp as a blade. It's enough...? You live here and now... What about rafting? A skiing? And what about the mountains themselves in the summer, when you went far into them? And you are alone... The higher the risk to life, the greater the pleasure, because the feeling of danger gives an indescribable feeling of the joy of life. That's why extremes are so attractive tourist routes.

From the side of the village of Krasnaya Polyana, among the peaks of the Aibga ridge, the Black Pyramid peak is especially expressive, where we are going or. Nearest locality– the village of Esto-Sadok, located north of the mountain. The height of the Black Pyramid is 2,375 meters. Having climbed to the top, you can see the Mzymta valley from Krasnaya Polyana and see the mountains of the Main Range of the Caucasus. The southwestern slopes of the peak are favored by skiers: there are trails there sports complex"Mountain carousel". Of the four peaks of the Aibga ridge, the Black Pyramid is the most popular among climbers. It usually takes less than a day to conquer the peak: if you start climbing at dawn, you can return before evening darkness sets in. Hiking trail passes through a beech and then a fir forest. A few hours later, the travelers reach a clearing where the Blue Stream flows. You can get to the top by passing subalpine meadows overgrown with tall grass, climbing steeply up and walking along the steep edge of the pre-summit ridge.

WHY IS IT USEFUL TO GO TO THE MOUNTAINS? According to psychologists and bioenergy therapists, there are several reasons.
The mountains have a healing biofield, which is why staying in them has a healing effect. “Depending on the structure of the Earth’s crystal lattice, positive or negative energy fields (so-called geopathogenic zones) may dominate in different places. Their energy activates the energy structure of the body (chakras and energy meridians), and through them the emotional, volitional and intellectual spheres are adjusted by themselves. In addition, thanks to prolonged physical activity, mountain tourists produce the so-called happiness hormone - endorphin!

It is not for nothing that the Great Pyramids are considered a wonder of the world. The whole world admires their thousands of years of history and incredible architectural perfection, as well as the amazing secrets that these ancient monuments hide. The three main pyramids at Giza are called great. The tombs of the pharaohs Cheops, Mikerin and Khafre have a strict geometric shape, and their faces are oriented exactly to the cardinal points (esoreiter.ru).

However, there is evidence that there were actually at least one more Great Pyramids. Prominent Danish explorer and naval captain Frederik Norden claims in his writings that he saw the fourth of them with his own eyes. In 1737-1738, at the request of King Christian the Sixth of Denmark, he went to Sudan through all of Egypt. During this journey, the captain made many notes and sketches regarding the monuments of ancient Egyptian architecture. All this information was carefully collected after his death and posthumously published in the form of the book “Journey to Egypt and Nubia.”

Mystical black pyramid

According to Norden, the fourth Great Pyramid was made of black stone, which has the same high strength as granite. Frederick wrote that the main pyramids are located in the southeast and east of Giza, and there are exactly four of them. Nearby there are small pyramids that mean nothing compared to the Great ones. The black pyramid, according to Norden, had a height of more than one hundred and fifty meters. There were no tombs or temples located inside it, but this monument was important for another feature.

At the very top of the fourth pyramid was a colossal cube-shaped stone, which may have once served as a pedestal. However, the Dane was not sure of this and fully admitted that this stone could be a self-sufficient sculpture. The pyramid itself was made of some kind of black granite, but the building material for its top, supporting the mysterious cube, was a stone of a lighter, yellowish hue. The Black Great Pyramid was located to the west of the other three and formed a straight line with them.

It is noteworthy that many other researchers talked about Great Pyramid black color. Egyptologists and representatives of official science refuse to acknowledge this and completely deny the existence of such a monument. The world community easily believes these words, since the fourth pyramid really does not exist anywhere. There are also no debris that would certainly have remained from it. However, if Frederik Norden, who was never caught in a lie, much less in a hoax, is not deceiving and the black pyramid really existed, then where could it have gone - that is the question?..

Once a friend and I were planning to go to the top of the Black Pyramid mountain, on the Aibga ridge. We went there more than once.
They gathered spontaneously. Although the Aibga ridge is included within the border zone, they did not issue passes, knowing that the border guards go from Alpiki-Service towards Turiye Gory and practically do not look into the Aibga circuses. We decided to climb the ridge using a cable car. We didn’t even consider the Alpika-Service ski resort because we had climbed there many times. I wanted to climb the Mountain Carousel.
We packed our backpacks, bought food, and arrived at the foot of Aibga. They didn’t tempt fate, they turned to the head of the “security service” with the question: “... what about the border guards?” A man with a military bearing asked: “... for what purpose are we interested?” We explained everything to him, about the desire to rise, and about the “health of the nation,” and about the Constitution of the Russian Federation, about photographing landscapes... etc. To which we were told: “... go up, but you cannot go beyond the fences at the upper bypass station, otherwise troubles await us.” This option didn’t suit us, we wanted to move on, especially since we were going overnight…. As a result, seeing us with backpacks larger in size than a camera bag, they didn’t even let us onto the ski lift. They said that: - “... you can’t carry backpacks.” Although at that time there were Downhill competitions taking place and the athletes were climbing with bicycles.
Why am I telling this? Probably, once again convince yourself and warn others that in connection with the status of the “Olympic capital” it is necessary to take a lot of passes and permits. This applies not only to Aibga, but to all other districts (Pseashkho, Aishkho, Kardyvach, etc.). Or maybe they are hiding something from us?
Literally a week after the described incident, I climbed the Black Pyramid with children aged 8-10 years (at that time a video was shot, which I already posted in the “Aibga-2” topic). I didn’t meet Pograntsov, but I found a lot of people at the top who wanted to wander along the ridge. I very much doubt that they had passes to the border zone or at least to the territory of the SNP.
Late in the evening, after long “negotiations,” we decided to climb, at least somewhere... The choice fell on the Achishkho ridge. They walked it up and down. What to do, time left is night and day. In the UAZ we went up to the Khmelevskoye lakes. On the same day we reached the Achipse River (Vdp. Brothers). We spent the night and the next day we climbed to the top. On the same day we went down to Krasnaya Polyana.
We were lucky, we didn’t meet anyone on our way, although Achishkho is also divided between the SNP, the Sochi Nature Reserve and the KSPBZ.
Question for travel lovers:
1. Do you take passes to environmental protection zones?
2. If you go without passes, what do you do when you meet employees of the same environmental protection zones?
3. Same thing about the border zone?
Below is a short photo report about the hike.

Lake Khmelevskogo - « Big lake" The lakes were named after the landowner V.F. Khmelevsky, a member of the Caucasian Mountain Club, a researcher of the flora and climate of Krasnaya Polyana at the beginning of the last century.

There are many lakes on the ridge, from swamps to normal lakes.

Another one of the overgrowing lakes.

Achishkho in the clouds.

There are many well-worn trails on the ridge.

The area of the former weather station. The Achishkho weather station was founded in September 1929 and was closed in 1988. For several years, the two-story weather station house was used by tourists as a shelter, then it was destroyed, leaving only the foundation of the building. Before the weather station, there was a booth of the Crimean-Caucasian Mountain Club here.

Mirror Lake. One of the most famous and beautiful. A place of pilgrimage for tourists and so-called “mushroom pickers” (by the way, they are soon in the season of climbing the ridge).

The village of Krasnaya Polyana from one of the horizons. In the area of Lake Zerkalnoye there are many horizons with beautiful views.

The source of the Achipse River is the Brothers waterfall. Achipse flows into the Mzymta.

Snowflakes hang almost all summer.

This is the structure that was discovered in the second circus. Who knows what this is? and who built it? Aren't these “mushroom pickers”?

Also a peak, but from the ridge. Below the peak there is another lake of the same name.

Valley of the Mzymta River. And the “scars on the body” of the mountains.

After lunch, it’s almost always addictive at the top. Achishkho is one of the wettest places in Russia.

Almost the entire ridge, the second circus, the top of the “Rock Castle”, and the drying lake are visible.

Well, a walk along the Caucasus mountain ranges finally led us to the Black Pyramid.
For reference: The Black Pyramid is a peak in the Aibga ridge, located in the Southern Front Range. The mountain from the side of Krasnaya Polyana stands out for its shape, looks like a triangular pyramid, which is why it got its name.

The height of the peak is 2375 m. The northern slopes are steep and steep. On the northern slope there is one of the most high waterfalls city of Sochi - Polikarya waterfall. From the top you can see the entire valley of the Mzymta River from the lower station of the Rosa Khutor cable car to the village of Krasnaya Polyana. The peaks of the Main Caucasus Range are clearly visible: Chugush, Pseashkho.

On the southwestern slopes of the peak there are ski slopes Mountain Carousel complex.

Having walked around the expanses of Circus 2 to our heart's content, we figured that we still had half an hour before the cable car closed and we had time to climb the Pyramid. No sooner said than done.
Go))

For tourists like us, on the Pyramid a small “wolf hut” was fenced off with a net (one step to the left, one step to the right) and, unfortunately, it was only possible to admire the mountains from there. As they explained to us, there is still too much snow in the mountains and any movements along the top are unsafe.

There really is enough snow, you can even go skiing.
Here in front of us is Circus 3 and from there the cable car goes beyond the pass to a height of 2340. As I understand it, these cable cars do not work in the summer.

Clouds are creeping over the mountains. A little more and we will “drown” in the cloudy fog

Here is the larger Circus-3 station. It's a shame you can't go down there. Although in comparison with Circus 2, where spring has already begun in full swing, here winter still doesn’t think about retreating

And this is the last section of the Gorki Gorod cable car for now.

Rescue and avalanche service huts. Local people say that this piece of mountains is very dangerous for avalanches, a large number of avalanches per season.

Of course, we were not able to get to the very top of the Pyramid; perhaps by the end of summer the “wolf cub” will be removed and we will be able to walk around more. But our 15 minutes quickly ended and with the last seat we are leaving back to Circus 2 in order to have time to get out of there to the big cable car.
The last part of the journey we practically float in “milk”.

After two days of riding on the open cable car, I almost stopped being afraid (although I’m lying, of course, I still rode halfway with my eyes closed). There’s one thing I can’t imagine - how to ride this with skis? And most importantly, how can you get away from skiing without damaging yourself?

In the next episode we'll ride the Gazprom cable car, don't switch))

The system of lifts and ski slopes, as well as the entire infrastructure at the Gorki Gorod resort, was built for the 2014 Winter Olympics. After the Winter Olympic Games, the resort did not cease to be popular, transforming into an all-season resort. All facilities of the Gorki Gorod resort are located on four levels: “Lower City” at an altitude of 540 meters above sea level, “ Upper town» at an altitude of 960 meters, at an altitude of 1500 meters and 2200 meters - observation decks, ski slopes, eco-routes and restaurants.

Of the 13 cable car lifts, 9 operate in excursion mode in the summer. If you have planned a one-day trip to Gorki Gorod, it is better to arrive early in the morning to have time to visit more attractions at the resort.

The Gorki Gorod resort is located in the village of Esto-Sadok in the valley of the Mzymta River, which is 40 kilometers from international airport Sochi. You can get to the resort by bus, taxi or Lastochka train. It is worth noting that car sharing is very popular in Sochi.

The main attraction of the resort is summer season, of course, is the cable car. Cost of a walking ticket for the Gorki Gorod cable car in the summer of 2019:

  • one ascent/descent from 540 meters to 960 meters (“Upper City”)
    • adult - 300 rubles,
    • children's - 200 rubles;
  • one ascent/descent from 540 meters to 2200 meters (“Panorama”)
    • adult - 1400 rubles,
    • children's - 850 rubles.

Excursion climb to cable car“Gorki Gorod” to the Black Pyramid peak passes with changes at stations. To get to the destination, you need to make several transfers between gondola and chairlift cable cars: K1 - K2 - K3 - K4 - K5. So, let's go! Into the mountains!

Important! If you decide to visit the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana, be sure to take warm clothes with you, because in the mountains the air temperature is lower than on the Black Sea coast. The temperature in the alpine zone, at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, does not rise above 15 °C in summer.

Observation deck at an altitude of 960 meters - “Upper City”

The first lift K1 lifts from the “Lower City” from a height of 540 meters to 960 meters above sea level to the “Upper City”. The cable car cabins are gondola type, some with special mounts for mountain bikes. This was done because at the “Upper City” station there is a “Gorki Bike Park” with trails of varying difficulty for downhill - downhill mountain biking. Also from the Upper City station you can take a cable car to the Polikarya Waterfall eco-route if you have purchased a walking ticket for all the ski lifts.

At the Upper City station there is a large Observation deck, many restaurants and cafes. This is a forested mountain zone, so it’s worth stopping and walking a little around the station to enjoy the views and clean air.

Important! If you are a guest of one of the Upper Town hotels, then the climb to K1 will be free for you.

Observation deck at an altitude of 1460 meters

The second lift K2 is part of the main excursion route on the way to the top of the Aibga ridge. Already from the cabins of this lift there is a view of mountain range Pseashkho, which is located opposite the Aibga ridge, together they form the gorge of the Mzymta River. You can see the snow-capped peak in the center - Sakharny Peak with a height of 3189 meters, the peak to the left of the peak - Pseashkho Yuzhny with a height of 3251 meters, and to the right of Sakharny Peak - Kozhevnikov Peak 3070 meters. And in front of these peaks there is the Bzerpinsky cornice, which is a popular tourist route. walking route in the summer season.

The station is located at an altitude of 1460 meters above sea level. In just a few minutes, from the forest mountain zone you find yourself in the subalpine zone. The landscape and ambient temperature are changing. It is cooler here than at the “Lower City” and “Upper City” stations. In summer, the temperature in the subalpine zone does not rise above +24 °C. Not far from the station there is a rope park and an ecological route called “Relic Forest”. There is a fee to visit the rope park, but admission to the “Relic Forest” eco-route is free. If you have time, you should definitely take a walk along the eco-route among the majestic fir trees.

Observation deck at an altitude of 2200 meters - Black Pyramid Peak

The third lift K3 takes you to a height of 2200 meters above sea level in the zone alpine meadows. Here, at the top of the Aibga ridge, the most colorful ecological route called “Alpine Meadows” is laid out. The length of the route is 3 kilometers with a height difference of up to 150 meters, so it will take a lot of time to complete it. As a reward for determination, tourists will find stunning views along the eco-route along the mountain circus.

But at the upper station, not only the eco-route “Alpine Meadows” is interesting. On the K4 and K5 chairlifts you can make a dizzying descent into the neighboring mountain cirque, and an equally exciting ascent to the foot of the Black Pyramid. A real attraction 150 meters high awaits tourists on the K4 cable car. After a short gentle ride, the chairs of the K4 lift rush almost vertically downwards, exciting emotions are guaranteed for everyone, especially those sensitive to heights. Before taking the last cable car, you can take a walk to the Bear Falls or the Rhododendron Valley.

The last ascent on the K5 cable car leads to the foot of the Black Pyramid - the high peak resort "Gorki Gorod". The height of the peak is 2375 meters above sea level. There is an excursion climbing route to the top of the Black Pyramid, which can be completed with insurance under the supervision of an instructor.

From the top station of the K5 lift there are amazing views of another mountain circus. And from here you can see the Mountain Olympic Village on the Rosa Plateau, built at an altitude of 1170 meters above sea level at the Rosa Khutor resort.

An excursion ride on the Gorki Gorod cable car and a walk along some eco-routes of the resort can take the whole day. It will be quite difficult to visit all the natural attractions of the resort in one visit. But this is a good reason to return to the resort again.
