The duration of daylight hours is also short - only 6-7 hours. It gets dark after lunch, and it becomes completely dark around 15.30-16.00. The weather is almost similar in the city of Turku. On the Åland Islands, severe frosts occur much less frequently: during the day, mostly around -1 °C, and at night not lower than -6 °C.

What to do in Finland in January?
