One of the most popular resorts is Bozi Dar, which is one of the oldest in all of Europe. The resort differs from its peers in its amazing nature and high level of service for vacationers, the flow of which increases every year. The ski season here begins at the end of December and lasts until April 15.
Trails
Tourists to the Bozi Dar resort are attracted by tens of kilometers of cross-country ski trails, ideally smooth ski slopes, as well as amazing nature around.
In total, the resort has eight ski slopes (40% “blue” and “red”, 20% “black”) with a total length of about five kilometers and with a height difference of approximately 3750-0_bgblur_00 meters (from 850 to 1135 meters). Traditionally, the safest are the “red” slopes for beginners and those who do not dare to call themselves experienced skiers. There are minor elevation changes, no sharp turns or sharp turns. In addition, on such slopes there are many gentle areas where you can slow down to take a breath and relax. Confident and experienced skiers ski on the “blue” slopes. These slopes are more gentle and steep, so stopping is almost impossible. The most “serious” are the “black” slopes, to which beginners and ordinary amateurs are not allowed - the real gods of skiing reign here. Such trails, with large elevation changes and a lot of opportunities for extreme skiing, are usually less in demand than others.
By the way, some slopes are equipped with evening illumination and close not at dusk at 16-750-0_bgblur_00, like all the others, but at 21-750-0_bgblur_00, allowing guests to enjoy skiing under the starry sky.
Together with numerous short slopes in nearby surrounding villages, the total length of the slopes reaches up to 70 km, but you should not expect that all local slopes will be ideal. Apart from the described “colored” slopes, most of the slopes are short open sections of mountains.
To the south of the Bozi Dar resort in the Novako ski area there is a ski school for children and a children's lift. The school's instructors speak several languages, including Russian, and promise to teach any child over three years old to ski. By the way, children under 12 years old receive a special reflective vest and a special helmet at school for greater safety.

The price for a one-day ski pass (ski lift pass) is 550-450 CZK for an adult, depending on the season, and 310-250 CZK for a child, respectively. If tourists are vacationing at the resort for several days, then it will be more profitable to purchase a six-day pass at once. You can’t go past the Spicak beer pub, which is famous not so much for its cuisine as for its extensive beer menu, offering a variety of unfiltered and unpasteurized beers. The average cost of a half-liter mug of foamy drink is 40-50 CZK. Thanks to the active work of believers and their donations, the temple was restored and resumed operation in 1990.
One of the attractions of Bozi Dar is the monument to the national Czech poet and songwriter Anton Günther. The monument stands on the square near the main city hall. Every year on June 5, meetings of fans of Gunther’s work are held at this place.

How to get there
Getting to Bozi Dar is easy from Prague. By car, follow the E48 road, then exit onto the E442 road, after Ostrov follow road number 25. The journey will take about 2 hours and will be approximately 150 kilometers.

There is a cross-country track - its length is 5 km, and the ideal condition of the ski tracks is maintained by snow cannons. Also, children whose height is less than 100 cm are admitted free of charge to all types of entertainment.
Both ski resorts are open all year round. The flow of tourists never stops, and prices depend on the time of year. The resorts have a well-developed infrastructure: shops and restaurants, many hotels, apartments and chalets for rent. There are ski schools, and tourists are offered rental of any sports equipment. There are four free parking lots, each with capacity for 500 cars.
