A foreign passport is a document proving the identity and citizenship of a citizen of the Russian Federation outside the country. Documents of this type are divided into separate classes, and special digital designations are used to distinguish them - the series and number of the passport. Where they are located and how they look, let's try to figure it out.
The series indicates whether the document belongs to one of the existing classes. When determining it in relation to each specific case, the type of the requested foreign passport and the institution that issued it are taken into account.
On this basis, the distribution is rather conditional.

The passport number is a unique set of seven digits class="bold"> assigned to each document individually, regardless of where it is issued. Problems in determining the license plates of a passport
Often, difficulties arise with where to find the series and number of the passport when buying an air ticket or booking a tour / hotel room when submitting a request through an online form. Finding these parameters in a paper document is not difficult at all, it is important to enter them correctly, and this is where mistakes are often made.
This is due to the fact that almost all application forms request data from both a foreign and an internal all-Russian passport. Therefore, it is important to carefully read each question and simply not confuse where and what to indicate.
In addition, the series and number of both the first and second types of identity cards are entered in separate fields without any separator characters or in one column separated by a space, without the number sign. So, for example, when requesting a Schengen visa to any EU country, the document parameters are indicated in one field separated by a space, while when requesting a new passport after the expiration of the existing one, these two details must be entered in different columns.
