"Kallivo Park". Skiers began exploring the slopes in the village in 1957. The height difference here is 110 meters.
In 2013, the initiators of the project managed to attract an investor from St. Petersburg, who began to develop the ski complex at a modern level.
According to the director of the complex, Artem Semenov, a 300-meter-long slope has been opened in Kallivo Park, lifts have been installed, jumps and special obstacles have been made for snowboarding and freestyle.
In 2 weeks, the second stage of the slope will open, the length of which will be 700 meters. It is planned to create a three-kilometer illuminated ski trail in the park, and next year it is planned to build a new rental office building, a cafe and a hotel.
Center active rest is already popular. During winter holidays Lovers came here to ride alpine skiing not only from Karelia, but also from St. Petersburg and Moscow.
In the winter season 2014-15, there will be educational and sports trails, the CANDY snow park, a snow tubing track and a cross-country ski track along the banks of the Tohmajoki River. All trails will be illuminated and equipped with lifts.
This season, the complex will host master classes of famous athletes, cultural and sports events in alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing, and a spring snow camp.
The complex can be reached by public transport, and pre-organized transfer from the city of Sortavala. A guarded, illuminated parking lot is provided for motorists.

Freestyle development plans in the Republic of Karelia 2015-2017

1. Preparation of the track for the freestyle mogul and double mogul discipline at the city resort in the mountains.
